what should you do when you love someone and they don't love you back?

I loved my best friend's brother for a long time...and I have learned that you can't force people to love you back, you can motivate them but in the end, it's their choice....
It's really painful at first(I even decided then that since I can't get the one I love, I'll just marry for financial purposes, but I suppose I'm not that kind of person since I didn't do it)...I got really jaded with love though ;C
...but I guess only time can heal this kind of pain, in time, you will realize that the love you felt isn't really love, for love is a feeling that needs to be fueled...you just felt admiration mingled with a twist of little obsession and appreciation...

you're right. I wouldn't call that feeling love. the problems is that for over a year I can';t get this guy out of my head... am i obsessed with him :))...?

That happened to me too- twice. It's not really love, but a bit more than a crush 
I think that at first you should try to get their attention and affection, but if it doesn't really work, and they really love the other person, let them be and just stay friends. Be happy for them

I couldn't be friend with a guy that I like. I tried to do that and i didn't work/. he knew my feeling for him and he only played with them. the first thing he told me is that he wants us to get back together ( we used to date in the past), after that he wants us to be friends and in the end we slept together and he dumped me. you can imagine how I felt...

Well, itis impossible to force someone to love you. either they do or they don't. You can only take responsibility for who you will love. it is just a chance we will take that our love will be returned. @11779374 (18)

The first time I met this problem,I felt very sad and got angry easily.I became very unhappy in front of the person who I loved to attracted his attention,but It didn't work at all.As the time going,everything was OK,and I found out that I didn't loved him either!
