Unfortunately, no, this is not what it means. Please read my response to this discussion below.

Welcome to My Lot.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a widespread misunderstanding of the term "Immaculate Conception". Many people believe this refers to the conception of Jesus, but Immaculate Conception is actually a Catholic dogma that asserts that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was preserved by God from the stain of original sin at the time of her conception.
The conception of Jesus by Mary is more properly called "The Incarnation of Christ". The phrase "Immaculate Conception", by Catholic interpretation, is not directly connected to the concept of the "Virgin Birth". The Catholic Church celebrates the Immaculate Conception, as you've pointed out, on December 8, exactly nine months before the official birthday of Mary. This is a big clue! The Incarnation of Christ is celebrated on March 25, nine months before Christmas Day.
I hope that helps make things clear.
To re-state: I believe Mary underwent a "more or less" normal pregnancy of about nine months.
