In other country they give tips. Here in Philippines I know when we eat in the restaurant we give tips. What about in salon when you had your hair treatment, do you give tips? I don't really go to salon to have those hair treatment only last month. I had my hair rebonded and I didn't really know if I should give tips or not. Well, I don't like the hair cut but the rebond is good. I didn't give tips. hehe.. Coz i don't really know if I should. What about you?

Before I really don't give but now I am practicing giving tips at the Salon. I think we should also value their work for better service. I gave a little amount of tips only, maybe if I got lots of money I can give a better amount.

haha =D It all depends on each individual. If u feel like it, u can tip anywhere u go. By not wanting your change, is a form of tips for the staffs too.. haha =D Most of the time, i wont be taking loose change because it's troublesome. It's the same wherever i go, even when i'm taking a cab. WHen the fare is only a difference of 20-30cents to a full figure, i would tell them forget the change.. haha

Yes I give a tip to my barber every time I have my hair cut,I guess this is well accepted and appreciated practice especially during this hard times,I give it to him after I get the change when I pay for his services, besides if you don't know how to give a tip ,God knows what he will do with your hair the next time he sees you hehe (just kidding)

By giving tips I find it rewarding by seeing the happy face of the salon" employee. They reciprocate this by calling you boss or sir or whatever flattering word that they could think of.

Well I think it dpends on the current price.
Logically, at a restraunt a waiter depends on those tips because they make less than the FLSA minimum wage. While, at a salon there is a set price for everything. If I feel the price is fair then I would leave a small tip to say thanks for the good work.
There are still those times in restraunts and even hair places where you are not satisfied with the service and you just leave with no tip then it is okay to not leave one.

I think it's good manners to give tips, specially when you get your hair rebonded...the process is so long and gruesome, I have been raised to leave tips to the service providers my whole life, but sometimes if I feel like they're being rude or not giving me the service I deserve I tip only 20 PHP C;
