Do it affect the eye`s?

One of my cousins have a weak eyesight.
HE always watch T.V. as if his face is nearly sticking to the t.v. screen.
I told him to stop that kind of habit because i know that t.v. affect eyesight.
SO does t.v. really affects eyesight?
If you were me what is the best way you can do to make my cousin listen to me?

The parents of my cousin already know about it.
They control and tell my cousin to not do the bad habit again.
But unfortunately my cousin has a bad attitude of not obeying his parents.
Maybe its because he is just a child:)

Sitting too close to any size or sort of tv screen can do damage the your eye sight.I always ensure that if i have any children at mine that they sit away from the tv screen, also if they are playing games on my tv, as i would hate to think that they could damage their eye sight.

It is very true that you can really damage your eyesight by sitting too close by the television. Of course, we learned out the hardway, as we always sat on the rug, but the fact that my eyes need such strong glasses are proof of this. There is really no way to make someone listen. Just hope that they do.
