We have been having trouble here on the ranch and the end result is that I, this 69 year old lady have been left trying to manage it all. From odd places steps forward my daughter's new boyfriend. Can you call a 60 year old a boy? Anyway we have only known him about a year and our contact has been somewhat limited. But he is an Angel underneath and has worked so hard to help me that there is no way I can ever thank him enough. He just steps in and takes over whatever chores need to be done. Do you have or have you ever had, someone like him in your lives? Now is a good time of year to tell us a story of what happened, don't you think?

Your daughter chose a wonderful soul to spend her life with and he did the same by the sound of it Some folks are clearly angels here on earth; I think my husband is one of those people because he will always help anyone who needs it and one of his life dreams is to be able to leave his job, buy a truck and deliver used good to the Salvation Army. His kindness and compassion are what I love most about him.

He is the new boy in your ranch. So you're just lucky that he is helping you out which makes your job to man the ranch easier. Probably he is God send person to help you. Situation like that can happen out of the blue. Just be thankful to God that a helper is on hand now to relieve some of your troubles.

It sounds as if your daughter has found a wonderful man and I hope they are happy together for a very, very long time!
I have not had someone like that in my life that I can remember but several someones. Once my husband was out of town and it rained so hard that the washes were flooded and I knew I would not be leaving our isolated area for a couple of days. One of my husband's friends came out on his ATV and brought milk, bread, cheese, noodles and canned tuna and chicken--the basics that the children and I would need for a few days! He knew I cooked everything from scratch and that I could turn that into several meals.
Over the years I have had people do things for me when I needed them even though I did not ask. One time an old man told me to empty my trash into a specific dumpster so I did--and there was a clean, nearly new winter coat! You see, I didn't have a winter coat and didn't have two pennies to rub together so I couldn't buy one. The old man had no way of knowing this.
I've been blessed with several angels in my life, both real and human.

I have to admit, my husband is the exact same type of person.
Now getting him to do chores around our own house, is a bit difficult at times. lol
He loves to help other people...sometimes too much.....I forget what he looks like sometimes. lol
Very nice way to be, in my opinion.

In my life I can't really say that I've seen a person that will step in and get things done for me. However, when we were staying with my mother, my husband was the one that did that for her. He would make sure that her grass was cut, he put insulation in her attic for her. He would take care of all of the little home repair projects that needed to be done and I really think that he has been a God send for my mom. Oh yeah, I almost forgot that he does all of the maintenance on the car as well.

Hi savypat, I have known several such people in my lifetime and I will always be grateful for having known them. I think now of one in particular who was always there when I needed him. I have never been a handyman but this man was a jack-of-all-trades and always ready to lend a hand. Such people are what my father always referred to as "the salt of the earth". Blessings.
