Hello there fellow MyLotters. How many of you think there are too many good movies coming out this year and next year? I look forward to watching many of them. Here is a list:Gulliver's Travels, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Tron, Warrior's Way, Kung Fu Panda II(my girlfriend wants to watch it), Pirates of the Carribean:On Stranger Tides, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2(favorite series, R.I.P. Dobby:[),Transformers 3, Men In Black 3, Spider-Man 4(I believe 2011, maybe 2012),Captain America, The Ultimate Avengers, Thor, X-Men First Class, Batman 3, and alot of other movies. Which one is your favorite(s) and what are you looking forward to? Thanks.

To be honest I look through that list of movies and not a single one excites me. The trouble for me is that I watch a lot of movies (I review them) and so find many of these movies you mention very commercial, almost generic so they appeal to the masses. One comic book adaptation is no different to another, remakes are usually dull and sequels are rarely as good as the previous movies. And that is what I see coming up in the next couple of years, all of which tend to over indulge in special effects and CGI to make up for a lack of storyline.
On the other hand movies such as "Cinema Verite" which should be out in 2012, "Hugo Cabret" which is due out in 2011 and "The Iron Lady" also due out in 2011 do excite me because they have more originality about them.

I'm not complaining at all. And I have to agree with you, there are a lot of good titles that I'm looking forward to watching coming out next year and even the year after. The one I'm most excited to see is The Hobbit but I have no idea when that one is coming out. But if it is anything like the Lord of the Ring movies I would be so happy. I'm also looking forward to Men In Black III too (May 2012). I loved the first two and it has been many years since the last one. So, I have high expectations for this next one. And I heard somewhere that another Rush Hour might be in the making and I hope it's true because I want to see another film with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker collaborating together.
