Your subject line of discussion suggested me that you were going to debate the discussion on God himself! However, after reading the content I got to know the real idea. Well, I've never thought about it. In fact, it will really be funny to get in front of The Almighty and try and negotiate. If given a chance, I think I will surely ask him to forgive my minor mistakes, mistakes which didn't cause any harm to anyone else. Hopefully he'll oblige :)

good to know that u can get my idea. i wonder if we could get the opportunity to negotiate. i hope God does not punish us just like that with his laws

the god gives us a choice, then we are the one who take the responsibility to take the choice and making the mistake. just like we are an adult, we know what is good and bad. and it is all up to us to choose which side. the God only see what we done.

Jshekhar, I think we all would have a great argument. God supposedly is the supreme, all-knowing being, the builder of everything and the reason behind living - heart and soul. He created us, no? Then, by anyone's logic, he is responsible for any mistakes and thus should be more than willing to debate us in court. But they might call to the stand this guy

Thomas Jefferson said something along the lines of (I'm about to paraphrase him very poorly lol): question with boldness even the existence of God, because if he does exist, surely he would rather that than blindfolded fear. Although that's hundred of years old, that's the most apt faith-based quote I've ever heard or read. If a God, the God, any God, wanted people to only live and fear and never to question and to abide every decision without doubt, those adjectives used to describe God, like kind and loving and compassionate, would be pointless. If God wanted a person only to keep his or her mouth shut while the world moves around them, forgetting their own humanity and their own emotion for the sake of worship, then God is a cruel oppressor and doesn't deserve the worship, even on pain of damnation. I don't believe in a God, but I believe that any God would be open to debate with one of its creations. If not, God is a being undeserving of loyalty.

God had explain the good and the bad one. but nor the reason why we shouldn't do that. only by experience then we know that there is a negative effect by doing the bad one. and it is all for our own safe. so do u think the god will open the debate because he had told us the guidelines ?

Why not? You're born into this world with nothing - a blank slate. If God does exist and you're supposed to live within the rules he has set for you to live by, or else you burn in fire, then you were born into extortion. Before you were even on this planet, you were destined to do what someone/something else said. Sure, people can site that whole "free will" thing. But it's not really free will. You're not "free" to do anything, per God's supposed almighty rule. If you do what he wants, it's because he wants it. If you know about it and choose another path, then you're choosing to spite righteousness. For your refusal to play by someone else's rules, you will swim in the lake of fire for eternity and knowing nothing but horrific pain and torture, all because you didn't do what God wanted you to do. Nothing's free about that. So why wouldn't God debate the guidelines with the people whose very souls are at stake? His soul isn't at stake, is it?

There will be no need for a debate. You don't understand God. God will love you Unconditionally. It is a love that heals all hurt. You would do anything for it. You will see where you are and where you need to be. The only one going to judge you is Yourself.

Hi ifa... I am an atheist. I have enough points about the non existence of god but i don't wish to share those points here and don't want to debate with anybody. As i am atheist...i have points for my sake and who are religious... they have too. so no need to go against someone's pure believes.... let them do as their wish. Have a nice day.

Hi Ifa!. I think God is someone you can not debate with because He know what in your mind and heart. Try like try to debate with someone who you know will win because they already know your strategies. I think there is no use to our mistake because He really know what happen, its better if admit and ask for forgiveness.

God is the place to give protection, ask for prayer and worship places. so each of us there is a problem we must pray to God for no longer than God who can ease the problems we experienced.
