Most of the people, early morning after they wake up, they used to clean their mouth from spoiled saliva to prevent bad odor. I would like to ask if what method do you often used??tooth brushing or mouth washing(gargling solvents)??? Which among the two is the best method??? After you eat breakfast, lunch or dinner, mostly people brush their mouth. do you think brushing is the best way to protect your mouth??? it seems that brushing only protects teeth..right??

For me both works fine but depends on situation. Mouthwash great for before and after meals while toothbrush is great in the morning and night.

Hi. chowee. I usually will brush my teeth really good. Then I will gargle with my best mouthwash for up to 30 seconds. This ensures that my teeth are cleaned and my mouth is fresh and free of germs and bacteria.

Well, toothbrushing can also protect the whole mouth IF you brush properly. As for mouthwash, it doesn't really focus on the teeth but as the whole mouth, it really prevents bad breath and germs or bacterias. I think toothbrushing is still the best because I can't live without toothbrushing but I can live without mouthwash.

I always brush my teeth. I sometimes use mouthwash. I would never use just mouthwash though, it doesn't get all the tartar off of the teeth.

Toothbrush. Toothbrush cleans teeth while mouthwash takes bad odors or spoiled saliva. But it wont thoroughly cleans your teeth. All the food remains will still be in between your teeth. Mouthwash should only be used secondary and after toothbrush.

I brush, floss and use mouthwash. I brush and use mouthwash first thing in the morning after waking up. After eating I use floss and brush my teeth again. During the day I floss and brush my teeth after eating. Before going to bed I repeat with flossing, brushing & gargle. Most of the time people forget to floss but flossing is very good for your oral hygiene health. I like to buy those floss sticks and I keep them handy and use them often.

Both. But if get to choose only one then it should be toothbrush of course. Mouthwash can only freshen our mouth and also kill bacteria but it can't take away stains in our mouth. Brushing alone can do it all with a good toothpaste. But for a really good result it should be brushing and then mouthwash.

It is better to do both. Brush your teeth every after meal to protect them from cavities and use mouthwash to have fresh breath afterwards. But if you think you are lazy to do both things, brushing would be more better just make sure to clean well your teeth as well as tongue (and the back) and gums. Also use a toothpaste that a lasting effect on our breath.

Yeah for me brushing the teeth is recommended than mouthwashing. Because it cleans whitens and make your teeth stronger:) But in general, Mouthwashing and toothbrushing must be done everyday to have a good hygiene and to have a fresh breath:)

I actually do both to make sure my oral hygiene would be free from bad odor/plaques. I do mouthwash first then brush teeth afterward. Sometimes I mix the mouthwash (a cap) in a glass of water and use it to gargle my mouth and rinse my teeth after brushing.

Hi Chowee, I do both..I brush and use mouthwash. I also floss. I think flossing is key...you have to do it. The brushing and mouthwash help but you have to floss to ensure that you have a healthy mouth. You can't just do one or the other.

Well typically I brush my teeth twice daily once in the day then agin at night, and I also use mouth rinse products to kill germs and any bad breath so my answer is I do both I brush my teeth and use mouth wash.

I do believe using a toothbrush is better. I think it is a fool proof way of cleaning your teeth as mouthwash can't eliminate all the particles that get stuck between your teeth. I use mouthwash just for freshness or probably at night before going to sleep, so that my mouth won't stink in the morning the way it normally does :)

I brush two to three times a day depending on what I have eaten that particular day. When I get up in the morning I brush and gargle with mouthwash. Then before I go to bed I brush, floss and gargle with mouthwash again. During the day if I had garlic or something that would get into my teeth I will floss, brush again. Having good teeth helps you in your all over health of your body.

hi chowee, Everyday I brush my teeth twice a day because it cleans our teeth and it can prevent to have cavities and also freshen up our breath. It's nice also to used mouthwash after a meal because it prevents formation of bacteria and plaque inside our mouth.
