Do you have a lot of Christmas decorations?

I was trying to decorate the house the other day, to see that my sister (who recently moved in after moving back from Sweden) had given away the majority of our Christmas decoration - the tinsel, the stockings, etc. All we had left was this little baggy of about 2 feet of tree lights, a little bit of tinsel, and a couple of ornaments. Although it's stupid, I was kind of furious with her over the whole thing - we used to have a huge CRATE of Christmas decorations and SHE took it upon herself to get rid of all of the fun stuff!! So anyway, I was a little pissed about that. But anyway, it brought me to this discussion: Do you have a lot of Christmas decorations??

I think we do!
We use the same decorations over and over again, but every year I try to buy one little thing to add to the collection. So, it gets better every year.
But, when I buy an addition, I buy it after Christmas so I could avail of the sale. And it gets to be used the following Christmas.

This will be my first Christmas in my bungalow which I bought in August 2010. I have a small green Christmas tree. I bought this pretend tree years ago in a shop. It has fairy lights on it, red tinsel, silver tinsel, gold tinsel and colorful balls. I plan to purchase a small fairy to put on the top of our Christmas tree. I have placed it on my lounge dining table. Maybe you could buy a Christmas tree and some decorations. I might buy a few Christmas decorations. They will be the sort that I will keep for future years. It seemed like your sister did some clutter clearing and Christmas comes once a year.

Yes, it is normal here in our country. We consider Christmas as the most joyous holiday that's why when the "Ber" months have started (months ending in -ber), most households here start to decorate their houses for Christmas already! It's like we're having a nationwide Christmas-decorating contest. LOL. That's just how excited we are about Christmas :) Especially when the time is around November and December, when you walk at night along the streets, you'll see that most of the big and beautiful houses here would look like theme parks :) And not only do houses have decors and lights but also commercial and government establishments too! Even the national roads have Christmas decors :) Like most Filipinos and foreigners that have gone here say, there's no Christmas like Filipino Christmas :)

I would love to put up a lot of Christmas decorations but then we only have a little so I just make use of what is available. Our decorations this year is better than the previous year since our decorations last year were halfway done because everyone was quite busy that time. But now we have a new tree, it has built-in LED lights and we just added little ornaments so it wont look overly decorated. We have a Christmas candle centerpiece and Christmas greetings on all the doors. I also place my Christmas stocking below the stairs for Santa's gift.

This is only going to be the second Christmas that we will be celebrating in our own house, so the answer is that we really don't have a lot of Christmas decorations. We have the tree and some ornaments and then we have a couple of village houses that my grandmother used to use when she was alive to decorate her mantel. We won't decorate the outside of the house because we live at the end of a court. I wish that we had more, but I really think that is something that is going to come with time that we've lived here.
