Cashium came back earlier this week, though I can't log into the site right now because it appears there is some sort of issue going on.
Apparently the owner of PalmBux has taken over the site. According to the forum, the prior owner is working to pay members that had requested payout. However, the members that didn't have enough to request payout, seem to have lost all their earnings.
Unless the previous owner was willing to transfer the funds to the new owner to cover the all member's earnings, I can understand how it isn't fair for the new owner to be responsible for them. My problem is, I was only a few cents away from requesting payout, and now I just have to start over. Clearly this isn't fair either because the last owner seems to be walking away with my earnings, and the earnings of several thousand other members.
Chalk this up as a lesson learned. Even when a site is paying it's members, anything can happen and the site could go bad overnight. For now, I'll stick only with sites that have a strong business model and even stronger reputation (and not again will I count my chickens before they hatch!)
