Hi friends,
Today while coming to office there was a long signal of 2 minutes and I stopped my vehicle and off the engine at the same time I saw that many people on the signal did not off the engine. I realized that not everyone had the auto start in their bike but most of them were using so.
I always try to off the engine if wait time is more than 20-30 seconds.
Do you off the engine on signal?
Thank You for sharing.

I always do off the engine of my vehicle at the traffic signal. It saves the fuel that is very costly and important. We all should care about these things as we are the more responsible for wasting fuel. Thus, it is reason our fuel price is increasing day by day.

I turn off the engine only when the go signal is quite long enough. There are certain traffic lights in our area which are program to shift from stop to go in just a few seconds and turning off my engine on this situation may just consume more fuel at start up. However, for those areas that usually takes longer for the go to shift, then I turn of my engine.

I will say no. I find it quite troublesome to restart my engine back when the signal light turn to green.
For those who think that your vehicle consume more fuel when restart, actually you get it wrong. Unless you stop for 15 second and restart back, the restart will consume more fuel than the fuel you save for 15seconds. Anything loger than a minute actually save more fuel.
I didn't stop my engine because it is hot in Malaysia and I need my engine to always running to enable the air conditioner running.

I do not turn off my car engine for 2 minutes, no way! Unless I am stuck in traffic and I know it's going to be more than maybe 10 minutes but 2 minutes, that's typical! But you're talking about a bike so I'm not sure where you're located but I'm in Southern California so... turning off is a no no!!

Saving petrol is one of my major concerns when I'm riding around on my bike. I save a lot of petrol by undertaking a lot of measures. Firstly as mentioned by you, I switch the engine off when there is a signal, unless of course it's not going to last more than 15 seconds. Another thing I do is, I kill the engine when I'm going down slopes. Apart from using the bike's momentum to carry me down, I use the same momentum to carry me forward a bit too. In such an activity I end up traveling around 200 m without using the engine and fuel. A lot of savings as per me.

Of course I will wait my bike's engine when I am in the traffic.I know that there is a serious problem of fuel crisis in my nation and also in the world.I know the value of these petroleum products.Turning off engine at the time of traffic will save a lot of fuel.

I think it is wise to do that. If you don't do that you are putting expra pressure on you and the nature at the same time. You should do this if you have to wait for more than 30 seconds. Petrol prices are rising every few days and I can not bear it, so I have to be cautious to save the petrol and my pocket.
I say Petrol because I have motor cycle :). I want to say that I earned it with my money and I am happy for myself. Back to main topic again, I do off my engine. Thank you and have a nice day ahead. :):)
