666 What mean to you?

Calling all Christian over there, I just wonder to ask about this latest topic of mine. Many of us having various interpretation about this verse, some are same opinion but other are not giving their side. I think this is the time too see what are our views about this verse in the bible..
Revelation 13:18 (NIV)- This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.That number is 666.
In reality you hear many bad and scary opinion about this, some are bad, some are just a number stated in the bible. How about you what is your understanding about this.. Share to us... see you around

Gods numnber is 7 which stands for completeness it is also mathematically complete but thats a question for someone else.
Any way all important thing in the bible done by god n 7's
earth created 7 days
7 bowls of wrath in revelation
7 trumpets again revelation
hebron was built 7 years before zion
abraham blessed 7 fold
the old way of talkin to emphasis importance a word would be said 3 times
woe, woe and woe again for instance
so gods number perfect 7 = 777
Satan to either show arrogance says his number must be 6 if god is 7 (just short of gods supremacy) 666 ( beware of this number).
as it will reveal the anti christ when born as a man.

visavis 666 is the mark of the beast Satan and as far as I
am concerned I avoid that number, for example I had the
ending 666 in my ranking number last night so I stayed up
to move it to 700 thus not working with Satan's number. It is
in the book of Revelations and I feel mankind is wise to
avoid it at all costs. I believe it is evil as it signifies
Satan and I won't have anything to do with the number or
with Satan at all ever. It is silly to tempt him to
come to you as he would just love it, anyone who jokes
about this is playing with fire.

sorry hatley only now I response, your so superstitious for that belief which until now nobody proved it is true. Book of Revelation are full of symbol and mentioned things there, WILL HAPPEN meaning not yet happened. The number mentioned was like a normal number only, people are giving meaning, like number 13 they said symbolize for UNLUCKY then if such 13 fall to friday is another unlucky day and danger. 666 mentioned in the bible said number of a man...

The number 666 is considered bad because in Jewish beliefs the perfect number in the Hundreds would be 777. As they believe 7 to be the best number as that is the total time of creation including the sabbath.
So the number 666 would be symbolic as all of Revelations would have to be taken as symbolism and not actually taken to be 100% literal due to some of the parts with a ten horned beast and horsemen of the Apocalypse as well we don't ride horses. The 666 being the number of the beast and man would mean that man isn't perfect.

Interestingly if you add up the longitude and latitude of Jerusalem you get 666. Happens in a few other places, but strange how the centre of 3 modernand influential religions have a stronghold there. Are they working together and putting aside theological differences to combat the forced of evil !!!!

Supposedly the number is mistranslated and has been propogated over time. The number is actually 616. I think there was a bus route somewhere in Russia that changed it's number from 666 to 616 to avoid any bad connotations with the number - now that's bad luck.
