Learning to Bar-tend

I'm going to be taking a class on bar-tending. I was wondering if anyone knows what the most challenging things about being a bartender are. I would like to get a jump on my learning so that I can be prepared for the challenging parts of the course. Are there any tips, tricks or advice skilled bartenders out there could lend to me?
