avast is the best free antivirus

When I was a child i used NORTON antivirus. I did't had the technical know-how then. Then after norton started to give problems i shifted to AVG. I liked AVG. But with AVG i had virus problems especially with viruses from flash drives.
I uninstalled AVG then and installed NOD 32 as someone suggested it is a good AV.
Then one day worse things happened .My machine got infected with conficker virus and a series of other viruses and the machine won't boot. Even system restore failed. I had to format my hard drives and valuable data got lost.
I had also used bitdefender and kaspersky both of which i liked. Atlast i decided to install AVAST an year ago. Ever since then i had no problems as i actively access the internet. I now use malwarebytes anti-malware along with the latest version of AVAST.
Hope my PC be safe forever.

As for myself, I can say that I am using quickheal and is giving good results. So far, I have no complaints against it.

Hi Ritwick:):),
I was using the Avast and it was good. One day I got a problem with my OS, got my windows crashed and I was not able to start it. I don't know what was the reason because it all happened in fraction of seconds. Then I tried NOD and I am using the same today.
I have no problem with the NOD till date. Thank you and have a nice day ahead.:)

Agreed.
I Used AVAST for 2 years and never got any 'accident' with the virus, malware, trojan and so on . It also protect me when I browse through the net - by give me alarm when it detect malicious malware installed on the webpages.

Like you I also use Avast, I prefer it over AVG and Avira because it updates automatically , fast and often. I also observed that it is not heavy on the system.Yes and like you I combine it with malwarebytes, I also use Spybot
