MS Office 2007 is much complicated...!

I agree, in fact at the college i attend there is a class all about ms office 2007. Needless to say, i failed it. 2003 was so much simpler. I use openoffice for all my work. openoffice is a free project i first found in a linux computer. it really resembles office 2003 so i fell in love :)

Hi kguru! I have this difficulty as well the first time I used the 2007 version of MS Office. It has a complex menu structure and I believe that it would even be more difficult for beginners or those who are not so good with word processors, spreadsheets or powerpoints. I have kept both versions of 2003 and 2007, and thankfully I’ve been able to become familiar with 2007 bit by bit. Luckily, I know how to make good use of the help feature.

Yeah.. I also agree that it's very difficult to find some settings which we could easily find in office 2003.. Microsoft tried to give user friendly screen but icon identification is little harder than menu..

Yeah, I agree that some of the feature in 2007 are bit complex and as we are used to the previous versions like office XP, office 2003, it might take some time to get accustomed to it. So, whenever a major upgrade is given in office its always difficult to locate the menus and find particular options. What is most difficult and irritating part is the file format, you take lot of pain to create a presentation with all the advanced features provided by 2007 and send it to other people who are using the lower versions, will get back to you to send a lower version of the document format. (which will remove all the advances effects offered by 2007). Really I have to always make sure that i send the files in .doc,.xls.ppt format and not in .docx, .xlsx format.

well you are right, MS office 2007 is quite confusing than MS office 2003.But, i would still to prefer to use 2007 because it's nicer and very nice face.it;s attractive.
