Hello,
Are you personally on myLot just to make money? I personally joined up just to make money, but now I'm really enjoying the community, I really like to speak with you guys, it makes me feel at ease after a hard working day.
What about you? What are your thoughts?

I joined out of a little of both. I wanted to make money doing something that interested me.
When I wasn't making any money on MyLot, I left. (I joined a long time ago on dial-up internet and couldn't post very much, so I wasn't making anything.) I recently returned, and while I make my money other ways (freelance writing), I enjoy posting and making money for it.
Posting helps me write some every day, which keeps my skills sharp for my freelancing and helps improve my communication. It also helps me learn and helps answer my own questions as well as others.
I'd say it's a mix for me.

So basically you also improve your writing skills, besides earning some cash and enjoying the community?
Great!

I joned myLot over 2 years ago, and I am very glad that I did. This is an excellent unique community with wonderful members from countries around the world. People are very friendly and cooperative, helping each one another for mutual benefit. Making some earning is an add-on benefit. The more time and effort one can devote to myLot in posting and responding to postings, the more one will earn.

Hello,
I have to agree with you, myLot is nothing like facebook or myspace, people here are actually constructive, when was the last time you had a good discussion on facebook or myspace?
People are just sorta boring there in my humble opinion.

Hello samyboy
I had the same experience when I joined MyLot, I joined just to make money from posting, but I ended up enjoying the community here.

Hello,
It's cool to hear from other people that have had the same experience as me. Hopefully I'll end up forgetting that I'm earning any cash here and develop to contribute just for the community.
Greetings

just like you... just registered because i heard that this site pays for posting and things like that, but then i realized that mylot is much more than a site that pays for being active, is a place where you can enjoy your time, just like facebook, or any other social network, but what makes mylot a good good site, is that you receive a payment just for having fun.

Hello,
Good to know there's people that joined up with similiar reasons as I did and end up liking this site and contributing to it as a member, that's not only driven by greed!

Personally I think there are many who have some here at first in hopes and wants of just earning some Extra $$, and then they either leave because it is not Fast enough for them, or they choose to stick around and talk with the others here learning about life in a different way and being able to share just a little part of them each day.

Same here. I actually joined here like a year ago just to earn extra money, but remained inactive because I was busy with college. Now I am a full time employee and came back here for the same reason: extra money. But as timed goes, I am realizing that there's much more I am getting here besides the money:
(1) I get to practice and improve my self-esteem and speech communication skills by using the English language, which is an essential skill for employment here (Philippines) and abroad,
(2) I am learning to write paragraphs that actually make sense now. :D I think this is a good learning foundation for me in writing, a field which I really suck at since high school,
(3) and I am also getting enjoyment for free! :D I don't know why I am enjoying here, I am actually anti-social. I think it's because of the warm feeling the community gives you which makes you feel valued. :)

For me, money is just an incentive in your enjoyment here.
At first i intentionally joined mylot just to earn money but now i realized that enjoyment and entertainment is the best reward i can get here in mylot.
Unlike other site, mylot is really fair to their members. Now, i am using mylot for socialization to other mylotters.
happy mylotting!!

I learned about myLot about 2 years ago and I didn't bother to join in because I was hook up more on friendster (yuh, you read that right. Now I dumped my friendster account). I was so ignorant with the process, you know, asking myself "how is myLot gonna pay if I earned?" plus, "the earnings you get is just a penny so why bother?"... however, now I joined myLot because of the useful informations and tips that I learned from all the friendly myLotters. We get motivated to talk or rather discussed what's interesting or not, or what's happening around us. Plus the exposure you need if you are into online businesses.

samboy280, I have 3 reasons why I joined mylot. First, the money of course, their is no denying it. Second, I can gather information here on newly opened money making sites. The third is to make friends and be with a community. I mean, I already knew or got plenty of events here that I haven't even knew had happened.

My initial intention to join mylot is to obtain some free money from them, because of their high reputation in paying their members and mylot.com is a long lasting stie that can be realiable and trustworthy. I had previous experience joining other forums but end up with disappointment. After recommended by friends and some money making sites, i decide to join mylot and let it a try. With these few days mylotting, i think mylot.com is indeed a great site not only in making free money but also in discussion and sharing the point of views. I love the friendly discussion atmosphere here.

I'm here mostly to check out how other people are earning money online. I also look at what people are saying about certain sites e.g if they're paying or not and if they're worth joining before I waste any time on a site that's a scam. Earning money in the process helps too.

Initially, that was also my idea but eventually as I responded to more and more discussions and starting up discussions plus getting responses from the community, I find that the community here was very friendly. From there, I started to dedicate much of my time here

It's the same for me. Originally, the main draw was that if offers a simple way of making money, but further on it's the community that will endear itself to you.

I used to think that I can make money out of myLot. To earn money at myLot takes time and effort. it is indeed tough to get money flowing in. After joining for a couple of days, I felt I prefer to help out others more than just earning money. Earning money as a side advantages does help :)

Well,I just be part of myLot family today only.I surfed it and can say,"It's great platform to share ideas, feelings and culture globaly moreover chance to know what happening exactly all around the world, very effectively and easily".So according to me,"earning money is not first intention" here.
