Greetings Mylotters :)
A few days ago, Facebook has given people the option to use a new version of displaying their profile. This version easily displays birthday, education, relationship status and the like directly in your profile page without having to click info at the top. The new version has the same buttons however, it is situated in the left side unlike the old version where you could find the (info,friend, link) buttons on top. Another difference is the shout function, in the new version it doesn't display the title box, you have to click the icon instead.
I prefer the new version due to its smart and simple look. Which version do you prefer the new one or the old one?

Personally I like the new profile of facebook because all we need to know about that person is already displayed in the profile page. I know the new look is bit complicated but we will be uses to it as time goes by.

Thank you for responding. It is glad to hear that there is another happy person with the new look of Facebook. You definitely are right, one second we are complaining about beepers next thing you know we are using Blackberries.

I like the new version because a friend's info can easily be found. Plus, photos are displayed on top.
I never noticed the "shout function" though. I think I will try to see later.

I like the old one. This new one confuses me. I didn't change mine yet because I really don't like it. But my brother says that even if I don't change it, it'll appear as the new format to my friends. I don't know if that's true though. But who knows, maybe I'll come to like it when I don't have any choice anymore. :)

Hi joe,
Yes Face book came up with the new version recently and at first i didnt like it at all. Infact i didnt move to new facebook profile till they changed mine automatically. But now i feel this is good one much better than before as now you dont have to look for the info and pictures of the friend who you want to see. But unfortunately they changed the chat and now everything is in message box which is annoying. i dont like that.

I prefer the new Facebook profile. I think it has such an attractive and exciting interface. I like the fact the pictures can be scrolled on the top of ones page. Kudos to facebook, they are continuously developing ways to make user experience exciting.

I love the look too. I think this update was good too due to the fact that they did not force it upon everybody unlike the past updates. Looks like they are finally going the right way now. Thanks for the reply.

I prefer the old one. I didn't like the new profile look. it's kinda' confusing. It looks like Friendster. LOL. I didn't bother changing how my profile looked.

It is strange but, I don't seem to remember the Friendster format. I think it is due to the fact that I have been using Facebook for at least 2 years already and totally forgot about my Friendster. Thanks for the additional information. As they say, everybody has their own way of looking at things.
