My friend bought this pretty little mare about a month ago. He is working on break her and she is doing great so far. Come spring he is planning on working with her and train her to pull his old doctors buggy. Is that a good age to do this?

Hello You don't say how old the mare is. In the Uk where I live there is not much room for horses with buggies mainly because the roads are too narrow. It must be lovely to have enough room to do that Good luck

I don't think its too young as long as the buggy is light and she'll not be doing it for to long. Is she at all broken yet?

She is broken a little. The buggy is really pretty light weight. I can move it around real easy.

I think it will be. She is easy to work with and is pretty smart. I will keep you updated on the progress.

My aunt raises horses, and you can probably start training her to do that as soon as she is broke. By age three horses are pretty much full grown, so she should be okay with that. Your friend who got you the horse and is breaking her knows enough to train her how to do it, so I'm sure he knows when it is okay to train her to do something. Good luck with Outlaw Josie! I'm sure she'll do wonderful!

I'd love to see her. I absolutely love horses and riding. What kind is she?
