How do you like to be courted? (for girls) And to court(for guys)

Hi everyone. I wonder if how do most of the girls wanted to be courted? Or if you still want to be courted? Do you want to receive flowers and chocolates from your lover or suitor? And for the guys, do court your girls by giving flowers and chocolates? or bring her to the movies? What do you guys usually do now?

Hmm.. no one answers. Probably because courting is only practiced (as far as I know) in the Philippines. And it is not really practiced that much by Filipinos especially now. Most of them (us) had acquired the Western lifestyle, they live in the modern world now so I guess it's not really much of a big deal now. There may still be few who practice it, but not the majority. And besides, Filipino courting has already evolved over time. It usually happens when during a relationship, unlike before when courting is done to acquire/secure/start a relationship.
And oh! The name had also evolved from courting to flirting. LOL. This one's a ninety percent joke (because I believe that the ten percent is true). haha ;)

Hahaha. I think I have to agree with you. Most of the girls now doesn't deal with the courting. And yeah you can't even call it courting anymore because they all do it online or by phone and sometimes it will only last for weeks or days and sometimes you can even have an instant boyfriend or girlfriend. But I still like the way they do the courting before. The relationships started with that are strong and would be very sweet as well.

Yeah. Just thinking of those romantic things that they used to do makes me feel 'kilig'. hahaha. It's crazy but it's love. :D

Honestly,I wanted to be courted! Would you believe if I tell you that my hubby courted me for about 3 years? Yes,it's the truth! He cried on our wedding day when I was walking on the isle going to him,I guess he was happy because he got me after all his hardships when he is courting me,lol! My husband is very much the opposite of my ideal man but he has been so kind and patient so I fell in love with him too. Until now,there are times I would tell him to court me again,just making sweet nothings to him,and he will do just to make me smile!

Aw that is so sweet of him. How I wish there would still be a man who could do that for the woman she loves. They say that for all us girls' ideal man, the only exception is the man that we truly love. 3 years is really long. He must have love you that much. Where can I find someone like him?? Hahaha. Well I guess you both are very happy now. :)

Yes florencia,we are both happy and so inlove with each other. He is one of the precious gift that God has given me.
You'll never know florencia maybe someday you will meet someone just like my hubby and if you do,don't let him go,lol!

My boyfriend is such a sweetie. Last night we were watching TV, and I mentioned.. Gosh I do not remember the last time I had a hot dog. There was this commercial running on TV about hot dogs and I have no clue why I said that. I really have not cared for them in years.
So today after his early show, he came home with 2 hot dogs for me. So to answer how I like to be courted, his wonderful gestures and always thinking about me. It was not hot dogs but the fact that he thought of me after coming out of his show.

Courting in the old fashioned sense of the word is generally considered "stalking" nowadays.
In the Victorian era, if a girl refused you and didn't like you, you pretty much just kept pestering her with poetry and letters, and bought her all the shiny stuff you could afford until she gave in. Who knows how many of those girls gave in just to stop the pestering!
I would rather have a relationship develop mutually and slowly (and I don't mind being the one who pursues at first!) and little gifts or gestures here and there that let me know he cares are enough. Of course, a woman must also show her man little gifts and gestures as well.

I hmmmmmmmpp I am a classic girl who can't be understand.I really want to be courted in a mutual understanding way because I am feeling irritated when somebodies will court me seriously. I am not much in words, i mean who will say that "can i court you?" something like that and etc. What I want is to just see in actions and just feel it even though he will just say few words.I want to be courted by receiving letter and stuff toy.Well, if the guy is romantic i want chocolates and flowers.
But, if i don't feel the man and just having fun of having boyfriends and i don't want to be court. I will just say yes in a second. But, the most sweetest of all is when he will going to court me in house and visit me and get close to my family.

Hmm.. so it depends upon your mood? Or your feelings at the moment? Of course when your suitor visits you in your house and get close to your family, that's a sign that he's really into you and is serious with you.
