What kind of job do you do?

Hello guys.... Isn't that a simple question? I read many question such as 'do you love what you do?' or 'What is the stress level at your work?' or 'How do you fight your stress?' But don't you think that it all depends upon what kind of job one does? There are other factors too, I agree... And let us discuss that!!! About my job: I work with a leading Airlines as a customer care representative. My job is to talk to the customers who call us and resolve their queries. It involves making new reservations, cancelling them, changing the dates, advising baggage policies... etc. I absolutely love my job... It lets me talk to many and especially many from USA, where I plan to move to. I get to help a lot of people and get many 'thank you's. They have made it better at office too. The more appreciations the more prizes and gifts. And how I love to win those gifts... It is fun, so far!!! I love and enjoy working here... What about you? What kind of job are you into? What are the sources of pleasure at your work place? What things do you wish to get improved or removed? What is the best about it???? Please share with the myLot community... Happy Lotting!!!!

I could never do your job. I hate the telephone and I am Just getting over being painfully shy! Me? I work at a library. I am the person who puts the books back on the shelves. I love my job , it can be hectic but that's when I love it the most.

In my position the is no time to just sit and read, lol! I'm in the entree level . no degree required! But if you wanted to be the person who helps a person find a book then look for Library Science degrees.

Wow, how I would love your job! Seriously! Virgin Atlantic preferably. Not on the airline itself but doing what you do, although Carlisle being in the Dark Ages, it does have an airport but it's not geared up for passengers, just freight. I would have to travel to Newcastle to find the nearest passenger airport and for someone who doesn't drive, that would be difficult lol. I don't work at the moment but I am happy that at least one of my friends on here has a job in the real world..and long may it continue my friend. Good for you!

Hi Janey... I am sure you would do great in this job... And VS(code for Virgin Atlantic) is really a good option... You are always so cheerful in your replies and that is what is needed to handle it successfully. I don't know much about UK's geography, so don't know where Newcastle is... We deal with US and Asia mostly.. I am happy in this job because things are good here... There are new things to learn all the time and that is true for all Airlines too.. My boss is very friendly... My colleagues have become my good friends... Everything is going good, except for the fact that I am not with my sweetheart.. That day will come soon too.. .

IT Analyst for an insurance company. Since we have outsourced our IT, I mainly work as a consultant, helping the vendor understand our systems, and reviewing their documents. Sources of pleasure? 5:00 and a paycheck and a funny co-worker... Improved or removed? How about the vendor? :D

I run a business travel call center during the week and work a concierge desk for a retirement home on Saturdays. Plus I do lots of work online on sites like this one. I wish companies, mine included, would not keep pushing for more and more from the employees - it makes morale go way down.
