Expensive Undies

Hello girls, this year a friend of mine, decided to give me money for some undies Triumph. If i have to be honest, when i went to the shop, my eyes was everywhere, with the beautiful models and great colors But when i saw that even a thong there is around 20$ i felt like ... and then
The friend of mine gave me 70$ for undies, specially for that kind of stuff, because she wanted once in my life i to feel more lady, to forget about the bills and the problems and to give something nice to myself.
It was very kind of her, but ... i was wondering so much before buying my own present. Our power bill for last month is 100$, for the month before last it was exactly 70$ and today i had to give same money for a bra and thong ... It was long and hard choice. Finally i bought what my friend wanted but i felt like i lost so much money for something i can find for much cheaper than in the stores of Triumph.
How do you feel when you buy yourself stuff like that? Do you blame yourself?

I usually buy expensive underwear and I have discovered it´s worth it. I like comfortable undies that last for a long time and keep its shape. I am not interested in lace but I want well made garments. So I buy Triumph. BUT... I wash them by hand and I don´t dry them in the dryer. That way they last me for years. And I know that if I buy a package of $10 undies (3 for $10)they will last the first month.
So I don´t blame myself but I approve of my wisdom.

Actually, I don't really know how I would feel if I was to buy something like that for myself because it is something that I am not able to do. I have the hardest time in the world these days spending money because our family has had a terrible time finacially. I am even to the point these days that I will feel a lot of guilt if I think that I've spent too much at the grocery store, so I couldn't even begin to imagine the guilt that I would feel if I spent more than $10 on a package of underwear.

I am the same. We got so much troubles, we are late with everything. Phone bills, rent, water bills, we still live with the furniture we had in the apartment when we came to live here. The one thing we could buy last months is food, nothing more. Clothes - we have from before, stuff for the kitchen - my mother gifted me when we came to live here, so i to be able to cook. Stuff for the bedroom - sheets or else, the parents of my boyfriend gave us. So ... we are in the same situation Dorannmwin and i totally understand how you feel.
Our meal doesn't include fruits, fresh vegetables and so on. Only beans, little meat sometimes, so i'm trying to buy more stuff for less money and i totally understand how you feel
That's the most hard time in my life too.

Yes I can relate. I rarely spend a lot of money on myself.. and would probably NEVER spend that much on underwear! If I'm going to spend that much money on something I'd rather it be something other people see so that maybe I won't look like a bum all the time, LOL.
It is nice that you got to pamper yourself though.

After what I went through financially I find it so hard to treat myself, and to be honest, I never spent any money on luxury underwear in my life. The only thing remotely frivelous would be those belly-tucker-inners (I don't know what they're called) but they help me get my big gut and butt in a bit so I won't look so fat :-p
I know exactly how you feel, though, I'd feel the same way as well.
I really dont' know what to say, in all honesty. It's a hard one.

I can understand how you felt when you had financial problems, we are all the time in that situation, since half year now. I always have to choose which is more important between two really important stuff for us, so i know what you mean.
I hope everything will be better soon for all.

You know Suggar do not be hard on yourself. You are apparently conscious about how you spend money and what your friend was really, really nice.
As women sometimes we need that little expensive thong. As you look at it you will remember the joy it brought you that some one was so kind and generous. I too would have debated but then I would look at this way. You/I are so worth it and we do not splurge like that ever.
Enjoy your lingerie and happy holidays my friend, by the way even the cheap ones are getting so expensive and they do not last as long. LOL

Just look at it this way, she could have bought you a pair not to your liking, but at least you were able to choose what you really like. Sometimes, in order to appreciate ourselves, we need some pampering and that includes buying stuffs for ourselves at least once in awhile. Yes, they come at a cost but we have to appreciate ourselves more. If we give presents to other people we love, why can't we give ourselves presents? Don't we love ourselves less?
