Do they have strange places?

I agree with you. There are really part in our house where my cat usually stay and sleep. That is the shoe rack. My cat loves to sleep and stay in that rack. After he eat he usually sleep in our shoe rack.

They like to be in this weird crawlspace in the basement, the attic, this weird window behind a recliner, paper bags, in the closet, etc. I don't have any pictures of my cats in strange places, but I have some of them. I don't know how to post them though.

Your cats probably love to sit up there between a good view of things and it's a warm spot to hang out on. I can't recall seeing them hanging out anywhere too unusual. Their usual jaunts are on beds, hiding in the basement, laying on the toilet seat (closed on the fuzzy cover), laundry piles.... nothing strange.

Cats like to be high, and when it's cold they like to be warm. Mine have been known to get on top of the refrigerator, the tv, the wall unit, the kitchen cabinets, etc. etc. They also like to sleep in boxes and the sink, with their faces in shoes, etc. You never know where a cat will end up.

I had one that liked to sleep in the trash can whenever it was getting full. Another that liked to blend.. he only laid down on things that were black, like he was. You don't know how many times that poor cat was stepped on because we didn't see him!

Currently I only have fish and they like to be at the top of the tank at all times. I suppose they think food is coming each time they swim to the top, LOL.. But my neighbor has a kitty and each time I have been there the kitty is up on top of the refrigerator. I have to agree with dawnald. I think they are always up high and like warmth.

hi dorannmwin...i don't have pets in my house...so i can't share here anything..i really don't like the way the mess up with places...and i don't have enough time to manage all these things....so its hard for me to keep pets..but i know that you must be enjoying some good time with them...

we used to have to be very careful about shutting closet doors. for if one was open i had a cat that would go in there and go to sleep. getting stuck if we didnt hear her for a while. i had another that liked sleeping up on the refrigerator.

Cats love to hang out where it is warm and high. In the wild they often rest in trees. What no trees in your house? Well there are none in mine either so my kitty loves the top of the freezer or refrig. He will also get on top of the old fashion TV, you know one of those thick ones.

Our cat likes to climb to the top of the inside of our garage. There is a pole that she climbs up, but she can;t seem to climb down. She will be sitting on a rafter above our heads waiting for one of us to lift her down. We have had a few cats over the years and they all seem to like to go up in out garage, but this is the first one who can't seem to figure out how to climb down a pole.

Dorann- Most recently my cat's favorite spot has been on top a dress I have pinned and cut out. I'm not sure how she's avoiding all the pins but she has. She's a sly one. If it were not that the top of my cabinets were not used as storage I'm sure she'd up there. As Dawn pointed out cats like to be where they have the advantage. The strangest place I've caught Lightening was inside my dresser behind and inside. I had left the top drawer open for something and later I heard her crying. Took me an hour to locate her but she had crawled into the dresser and then behind and out the back so she was inside the hutch behind the drawer. Silly thing. Namaste-Anora

My kitty likes to get in a wooden box my husband has on top of his dresser. And in the window sill. I don't take any pictures of my pets, and if I do it's only because I am snapping a picture of something else and Callie Coco just happens to be in the way. I've heard it's bad luck. I know it's silly, but I'm a little superstitious.

We have four cats, and they all end up in the strangest places sometimes! Sookie's favorite spot is the top of the refrigerator, my kitten Muffin likes to sit on anything electronic--the keyboard (while I'm typing), the clock radio, the base for the cordless phones, or even the TV remote, and my huge Maine (c)oon Simba likes to sleep in the smallest box he can possibly fit into, no matter how much of him is hanging out over the sides! But the one with the strangest hiding place is my female Maine (c)oon Cleo--she has a hiding space that no one has found yet, even though we've lived in this house for more than 5 years. Whenever she has had enough of the other cats, the two boys, company, or whatever, she disappears into her spot and doesn't reemerge for hours!

ya! you are absolutely right, i am a lover of pats and have a pupu(my cats name)just sleeping beside me under my blanket and when ever i go to the bed i know my pupu will follow me and will accompany me in the bed, i feel really very nice with him.
