How to be able to get an adult interest

Each time that i have tried to add an adult interest as in with the word s*x it says that i have to go to preferences, and allow, well i have gone to the preferences and can not see how to allow it as a topic.Please help, as i am sure it is something basic that i am not doing right, i have one interest, with the s topic, however i can not type the word in any discussion, so i have been putting gender.

Well,indeed it is an adult matter. But aren't kids taught and educated about it as early as grade school?
