Hello ferryy from Indonesia.. I think that Muslim people are no different to anyone else, there are good and there are bad... However, thanks to Pres Bush and his crazy political ideas people in the west have become freightened, freightened of fanatical Muslims around the world. I'm afraid that because Islamic leaders will not change the way their people think about the world that this will go on for a time yet. It is in programs like this whee people can meet and become friends that changes will be made if at all.

Muslims generally have a reputation of being violent. Well, I'm not a muslim but I can testify that that their Koran does not teach that. Instead, it teaches paece and harmony among brothers in the world. So those people who are perpetrating violence under the guise of Islam are not true muslims.

dear the word is Muslim not moslen anyways muslims are not terrorist but some terrorists are muslims If u know what is happining in the whole world u will understand there ar not only muslims who are terrorist.tehre are christian terrorist and hundu and jews this is not a particular religion who are doing this, in this world every religion have extremists who are called in todays world terrorist I personally believe terrorist are only terrorist they are not human if they are ont human then how they are muslim christian or from other religion they are just animals who kills innocent people

Muslims are not terrorists, I don't care what anyone believes, there are terrorists that claim to be muslims, a true muslim will never harm another or themselves, they are the kindest people you will find. I know this because I am a muslim and my family lives by the Quran and the Sunnah, There is nothing to THINK about muslims, either you know them or you don't. Don't sit around and think or believe what you hear, find a true muslim and look at the way they live their lives. Half of the muslims that say they are muslims doesn't even know the meaning of being a muslim, so beware of those who claim to be muslims.

I think too that a lot of the fear stems from our lack of control. Sure, we have crazies too... but they're under our jurisdictions, with police and FBI and whatnot so, even if they are in our neighbourhoods, we know we have police, 911, etc. A fanatical Muslim let's say, halfway around the world, with who knows what ideas or resources, is frightening to people. Fear can make people over-generalize and stereotype in some really negative ways. Also I think there is a perception that a fanatical Christian is just going to be very annoying and verbally hurtful, but a fanatical Muslim is likely to join a terrorist band and have all sorts of schemes and weapons. People think that couldn't happen in the West... so any country and culture that creates and allows people like that must be bad. I have absolutely nothing against Muslims... most of my best friends are Muslim actually. It really bothers me, the things people say and do on the subject. I hope that one day we look back on this period of history, as we do about the world wars, when we moved German and Japanese Canadians into camps because we feared them, and think "whoa... really? WE did that?" and have to study why, rather than knowing instinctually.
