Do you already have a new year's resolution for yourself?

It's quite a common question that we usually hear everytime a new year is nearing. Most people would have a new year's their own resolution for them to follow in the coming new year. When i was still at school, I used to have a new year's resolution regarding my studies. My resolution would usually be to study much harder in the next year and get higher grades. But now I don't have one since I could not think of anything to change about myself, I'm actually sill thinking about what my new year's resolution might be and I'm thinking of trying to become independent in the next year.
How about you?
Do you also have a new year's resolution for yourself?

Believe you do not have to wait for new year to make a resolution. If you really want to change there should be no timelines. You should start right away instead of waiting for a certain period. The question is how willing are you to change your old habits to become the change or renewed person?

Yes you are right. We have the same opinion. In fact we can change everything in ourselves in just a year, not waiting for a new one. If you were just positive.

I agree, that has also crossed my mind several times. Its really hard to make a change however you like to especially if you don't really feel like it. Its useless to change when the person is not willing to because it would never happen even how hard you make that promise to yourself.
Thanks for sharing emmely and Blacksun.

I guess its different in every place. But i think in one way or the other they also have the same idea wishing for a more prosperous new year in the years to come that is why they also have those beliefs of sharing their blessing with other people like giving hong pao or money inside a red envelope. I think its a belief that it would bring luck to the person by sharing his/her blessing to others.

Ohh, I have tons of New Years Resolutions, hopefully ones I will follow: lose weight (that's a given), get out of debt (even more of a given), write a book (lol, I think it would be fun to try!), Go back to school, get teeth fixed (I need braces!) and so on. I have so many different goals for myself, every year it seems I make these New Years Resolutions..Hopefully this year I'll actually stick to them and follow through with my goals!

Thanks for sharing maezee and good luck.

Wow, you got quite a list there, i was even just thinking about only one resolution for myself. hehe. I think what you mentioned there were mostly your wish list and not your resolution. I was thinking of something that we could try on improving about ourselves and make us a much person in the years to follow. Anyways, that was a good list you have and its really nice that you are considering other people first on your list.
Thanks for sharing shia..

Everyone should have a new years resolution because it's a way to plan for the next year. Write down what is to be done for that year and by when, example 2 weeks or 30 days etc, etc. Never give up on yourself and reach for easy goals first. Do it one at a time for each goal you set and really try to go for it none stop. A goal can be
anything simple like earning extra money, getting a c+ on a exam. Before you know it you'll be able to reach more goals within a few weeks. If you do not reach your new years resolution at the set time it's o.k just add more time to it and try again.
Remember to keep it simple and if possible fun.

I actually takes dedication working on a new year's resolution some people i think don't even need one if they could just try changing in their little ways. Sometimes its hard to think about what new year's resolution to make maybe because we have too much things in mind we want to have as resolution but can't seem to decide which one to follow.

I do. it's not new, just continuation of last year's
I stick to my resolution, unless something happens like I die or health wise not possible to meet it
like in 2008 my resolution is to not eat meat at all
I thought it was easy, since I generally only eat 2 lbs a week anyway
I wasn't raised eating a lot of meat to begin with
but it turns out I couldn't just go with veggies and taking so many supplements didn't seem to help, so I dropped it
last year's resolution however, is somehow achieved, lowering my debts
it was more work and stress and you know, being a girl, so hard not to spend money on beautiful things, but I did it!
so next year I know I can make the same resolution and achieve it
I don't give up easy, and I don't like breaking a promise, even if it's to myself

Every year i make a resolution but I never seem to stick to it. So I have just decided I am not going to set just one I am going to make a list of things I would like to do or change and then just take small steps to achieving them and just make small changes over time.

Same here, its quite hard sticking to one especially when you try to make one. Sometimes i have been thinking why we always have to wait for the new year for to start making changes to ourselves while we could do it anytime of the year we like. Its quite a good point trying to make little changes at a time because by the time we know it we already made a big change in our lives.

There is no point to me making any New Year's Resolutions! I never keep them! So thier is no point! I have done this so many times over the years I decided to stop dong it. It is a waste of time! Big waste of time!

I am usually good at coming up with ideas for a new year's resolution. I 'm must not that good at keeping and following through with them.

I guess its better not making one if you can't keep one.hehe. But i think changing little by little for the better could make a lot of difference when you try working on it. In that case you wont even need a new year's resolution to change. :)
Thanks for sharing sender.

Thinking of it, not yet! i am definitely making myself a list to see what I need to do and make a few targets.
i guess first will be paying off my debts slowly and followed by getting an education going on. Study off campus I mean as I am working. need money to survive.
Other than that, plan small holiday for my girl and I so we can have some quality time together :)

I think its one of the common things people think about. Working hard to save up, to pay bills, and to have something to spend on daily necessities. I heard from some of my friends before who were working students that it is really not easy studying and working at the same time. You really have to manage your time wisely because you only have a little time to spare for yourself. But i think with continuous hard work and patience you could really save up even a little extra for yourself and your girl so that you could have fun in the holidays.
Good luck and happy myotting.

I think reaching $10 a month here in mylot takes a lot of effort but is very possible as based from my experience before. Before i have tried earning $1 in a day here which took me lots of effort and i think if it is possible to reach $1 in a day then i guess it is also possible to reach $30 in a month if you would just try keeping it up. Mind that i didn't even have any help from my referrals reaching that mark before which means it is really attainable if you keep working hard. You could already but a lot from $30.
Just keep up the hard work Wefight.
