It was supposed to be a ten-episode installment and a two-birds-with-one-stone move for David Hasselhoff, 58. His reality TV show “Meet the Hasselhoffs” is to get his career off the ground again while help his daughters Taylor Ann, 20, and Haley, 18, launch their musical careers for everyone's eyes to see.
Now it seems no career is getting off the ground and his two daughters better find new ways to get their musical prowess noticed.
Seems like the former Baywatch legend and America's Got Talent former judge isn't a palatable flavor for the viewers. Initial ratings showed 718,000 watched the pilot episode and only 505,000 viewers gave the family time for the second episode.
Is it the Hoff himself, the concept of the show, his not-so hot name anymore or the family's Yorkshire terrier, Coco, who was seen having a therapy session with a pet psychic for her addiction to tennis balls that viewers find pathetic for airtime?
However A&E network says they might air the remaining episodes on a later date. Probably when the budget cannot afford the network a new show, pay a new actor, pay a new director...

His daughter Haley can actually act. I saw her on the ABC Family show, Huge. She got a lot of praise from critics for her performance. But how embarrassing must it be to know everyone in the world can have a reality show (even the late Anna Nicole Smith) that at least lasts a season, yet his was yanked after one night and 2 episodes.

Personally, I am sad to see actors that feel they must be on television with an audience to see how far they have fallen in their life. His life is a mess and I have no interest in watching just how far his life unraveled. There was a time when I wanted to see him on television; however, he really has made bigger mistakes, them most people make that are "stars".

I never really understood the popularity of David Hasselhoff amd never even dreamed of watching his new show.Baywatch actually launched his career and was the right venue for him, since it didn't involve any real acting skills which he doesn't have much of anyway. I'm really not surprised the show never really got off the ground,From the way you describe this show, the concept sounds a little too commonplace and a little self serving. I believe the Hoff's time has past and it's time too move on, to what i can't imagine.
