Which NBA Team Has the Worst Name?

As if the Clippers losing ways over the years are bad enough, i feel they also have the worst name for a team in the league. Why would a team want to clip another team,lol. With a name like the Clippers it sounds like their just leading by a few points in a game. To my point again why clip another team,lol? Why not blow them out? Why not try to smear them? Maybe the Clippers should change the name of their team to try and end their curse of losing so much throughout the teams history.

How can you say that the LA Clippers is the worst name in the NBA, at lest the name makes some sense. Clipper ship did leave from the Californian coast. The worst is none other than the Utah Jazz. I do understand that they get their name from where they originate from, the New Orleans Jazz, but what does jazz have to do with Utah? Once the Jazz relocated they should have changed their name to something more relative, like the Utah Polygamist.

I agree. Jazz was specifically New Orleans and just a dumb name for Utah. They should have changed names to the Bees.

objectively speaking,no matter good or bad points, every name has its own meaning.And compared to other team's name,clippers may not be sounded good enough.but now,there is no doubt that blake griffin plays really really well.they has a bright future.

Hey elmiko! As soon as I read your discussion topic that was exactly the team name that came to mind!lol I am a big fan of the NBA so I didn't take the question lightly. And thinking of all the team names the only one I could come up with that really had a sucky name was the Clippers! I don't know who or why they got their name from, but it really is awful! Great minds think alike Elmiko and this isn't the first NBA discussion question we've agree on!

The LA Clippers were originally the San Diego Clippers which you probaly know. The name Clippers were named that because years ago clipper ships would sail into the San Diego Harbor. I don't know want would be a better name then the Clippers! That is a good question! I would leave it the same!

i think its san antonio spurs because it dosnt sound or feel right to me
