I've been very ill lately.

Kindergarteners in my school tend to be little "germ bunnies" and they were sick the last time I subbed (Don't get me wrong, I think K kids are adorable). They all had head colds and then so did I. After 2 weeks, I went to a Dr. I have also developed some type of problem with coughing. Pulmonary reactive something or other. Anyway, now I have an inhailer. Today, I'm finally feeling strong instead of weak. But I think strength may be a temporary feeling. I will try to catch up.

Haven't seen you much lately on myLot and wondered if you were ok. Am sorry you've been so sick. I remember when our kids were small I often caught the colds they were carrying. They were all over me and sometimes my resistance was low. Hope you feel better soon and get stronger. Take care and have a Merry Christmas, carolbee

Feeling better was temporary. Now I have a severe bladder infection, so bad that I have blood in my urine. Enough blood lost that I have anemia. Man am I tired. Bought multi-vites with iron, but don't know where I put them.

Hannukah was so early this year and when I was sick. Didn't get to wish everyone Happy Hannukuh (can never spell it right and then some people start it with a C).. I'm feeling a little better every day, thanks.

I'm better, but I'm not me yet, if you know what I mean. First time a head cold ever made me weak. Chest cold, pneumonia, etc., yes, but just sinuses? Crazy.

Wow! Sorry to hear you have been ill. I was going through some old responses and doing BR's earlier and came across one of yours and I thought then-It's been a while since I heard from writersedge. And now here you are telling us you have been a sicky. I would remind yourself and the kids to wash their hands. This time of year is real good for germs and washing hands or having that hand purifier is a good bet in keeping the germs down. Hope you are feeling all perky soon. I think Gert has been ailing lately too.

Oh, no, not GardenGerty, too! That's not good, she struck out on her own for $. Last year the teachers all had hand sanitizers and so did I. But this year, they're not seeming to have them like they were. I can remind the K's, but they aren't really good at it. I think the nurse needs to come in with a class on it. Nurses teach a great class. They put invisible stuff on the kids hands. Use a black light and tell them to go wash their hands. Then they come back and see that they didn't wash off much when the black light hits the "germs." Thanks and take care.

Whoa.. I'm sorry to hear that. Are you feeling better now? I think being sick is never a good thing, so do take care of yourself. Drink lots of water and stick to a healthy diet! It helps your immune system. Get well soon :)

The longer I'm out of work, the harder the healthy diet thing could have become. But I did work one half day last week. Thanks and take care.

Those little ones can really get some nasty bugs. I know that when mine aren't in school...no problem but the minute they go school...bam...the colds start. It's not near as bad now as it was when they were little. I hope you get to feeling better.

Yes, I think part of the problem was that half the class was sick. I'm feeling a little better every day, so I should be fine soon, thanks.

Even though I got the seasonal flu shot, I still managed to get a flu bug. There are tons of germs in my school as well. Even with washing hands, disinfecting everything in sight and using hand sanitizer, it has run rampant through the school. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I was noticing that you had not been around. I was hoping that you were getting to work. My preschool granddaughter is in her first school environment and she is catching one thing after another. Bringing it home to baby sister and the family. Daughter says she sure hopes their immunities kick in sometime soon. Take it easy, and do not over do things just because you feel a whole lot better.

Oh I'm taking it slow. Mostly because I feel weak. Never had a headcold make me feel like that. Half the kids were sick. Wish parents would keep their kids home, but they probably don't have day sitters or money for them or would have to take off from work and can't afford it. I think things are going to get better before they get worse. I hope the immunities for all of us kick in soon. Take care.

my niece is a waitress and going to college, she gave me a cold middle of last month and I'm still suffering from the affects of it, not that I'm still sick, but I've still got a little cough and head congestion.

Yeah, that part of it seems to hang on. I don't think my cough would ever sub-side without the inhaler. So good thing I have that now. Thanks and take care, I hope you feel better soon, too.

Have you tried Airborne? It's a supplement, like vitamins and a lot of them are in it. It was invented by a teacher. I always take that when I feel a cold coming and the next day I feel better and it beats the starting cold.

I'm used it. It has shortened a cold for me, but I've never avoided one with it. Yes, I know it was invented by a teacher. But we have superbugs here. I think that's what I got this time. Reminds me to buy some more. Thanks and take care.

Hi, Since my precious son attending his nursery class, he fall sick easily..normal sickness like flu, cough, throat pain, followed by fever. The most I hate and give me a heart attack is throat infection & fever. These two sickness always come together and I will have sleepless nights when it attacks my son. Now, I have pay extra attention on the food that my son is taking..no more junk food and those fried food for him until he is old enough to take all those foods. I also giving him some vitamin C ..which help to boost up his immune system. As per my relative's advice, I am giving him Propolis and Manuka Honey. I do hope these few supplements will help to strenghten his immune system. It is heart pain to see my son suffered when he falls sick.

Throat infections and high temps can be so dangerous for kids. Glad you're on top of it. I'm very good at not having much fever as an adult, but I did scare my parents when I was young. Local honey is supposed to help people with local allergies. My neighbor has a bee hive and gives me local honey. Can't get any more local than that! Sounds like you're a terrific parent! Keep up the good work. Take care.
