Less than two weeks before ol' saint nick comes down the chimney as the fairytale goes, but what about the real meaning behind this matter. Lately iv watched as iv grown up that the amount of greed around these occasions has sky rocketed. just the other day i was in a electronic store having a young teen tell his mom he wants a flat panel t.v and gaming console to go with it for his presents. personally i felt disgusted to see that the true meaning of Christmas which is gathering around and spending time with family and loved ones, has now turned to a day that now many people are spending thousands just to put a smile on their kids face. i mean its great that your spoiling your kids but why not any other time? the meaning of Christmas for me was to just relax maybe grab a few small presents and just soak up the time spent. so what do you think of the meaning Christmas and what ideas do you believe should be continued and changed. i do realize in a ever changing world that modernization is rapid, but it be nice to see people actually want to sit down with their family because they want to, not to see who got the biggest gift.

Hi Man Utd: For me the meaning of Christmas is the opportunity to enjoy the time with your family and maybe some of your best friends, in the case of us the Christians, celebrating that Jesus was born and to be happy together in the house. Gifts and foof make the night more beautiful but are not the reason why we reunite every year. I think that it's up to us to make Christmas change (if we follow the materialistic meaning) or to keep the real meaning if we live the real sense of this celebration as it has to be.
