I purchased AMD Athlon 64x2 DUAL CORE PROCESSOR 4000+ 2.11 GHz in the year 2007.I have never faced any problem with this processor no heat up nothing, Its still working superbly. At that time i was in need of a computer which can Run at good speed and provide me good graphic support so after comparing my configuration with Both Intel and AMD i found that AMD is cheap as compare to Intel. AMD is very good for Computer gamers as it provide better solution to your demand at lesser possible price. Performance wise now a days Intel = AMD . competition between both companies is high so, you can never expect inferior product from them.
For Game lovers AMD is best. Check their official site (sites.amd.com/us/game/Pages/game-home.aspx).

well my friend i have used both the make of processors and i can tell you one thing, now with intel gaining things there is practically no difference in the quality of processing power bith both. but yes AMD has the advantage of being a lot cheaper than Intel. The only thing which can concern some people are heating. But now a days even AMD has come up with good cooling fans and that takes care of the problem.

on one side,it depends on your budget on the new PC.if you wanna pursue the higher cost performance in a relatively low budget, amd processor with 880G mainboard is definitely your perfect choice.HOWEVER,i'd rather choose Intel if i am not short of money.because intel has the better balance among the performance, the power consumption and the processing.
on another side,i personally prefer intel.its expense is based on new technique and processing,so i would consider it is worthy of buying it.HOWEVER, it doesn't mean amd's technique or the processing is poor.in order to possess more marketing share, amd is more fond of developing some strange strategy, such as 3-core processor.it is not negative but active, because the consumers have much more product to choose with lower cost.i think amd should pay more attention on the perspective tech to compete with intel.
in a word, intel is better in my mind...

The Intel processor is not necessary to be better than AMD processor.
In the past, there was a competition among the processors in California.
My friend from AMD Malaysia participated in the competition.
AMD processor won the competition due to their accuracy.
Intel losed it.
Recently, a technician told me that the AMD processor is slower than the Intel processor.
I have no idea about the fact.
Of course, I am knowing the Intel processor better than the AMD processor because all the while I am using it in my few computers.
It was not in my plan in doing so.
