How do I make my cat's poop to smell less?

To all cat lovers here, we know the only downside of having a cat is cleaning up their poop, it smells so much sometimes, I don't have a cat as of now, I'm still in mourning for my beautiful henna, but my fiancée hates the smell of cats and he says that when we get married and I'll get a cat, the cat should only stay outside the house......
I personally think that the dogs should stay outside, especially since he loves big dogs, his got a golden retriever now and is planning to buy a German Shepperd, dogs are to excitable in my opinion and I love cats way of controlled and dignified affection, I told him this and he said that it's not the behavior of the cats he doesn't like but the smell of their poop, for it lingers even if it's cleaned up...I told him that I could just train my cat to poop outside for they're smart...but then he knows that I lock my cat up inside the house if I go to work (the downside of marrying your best friend is that he knows you already!)...my cat before pooped only in one place but still in his opinion, he wouldn't want cats inside the house if we're not around, but I live in Philippines and they're way too many cat eaters here!!!

I have 3 tabby cats and I usually let them stay inside the house. My sister and I trained our cats to poop in the proper place. For each cat we have a small sandbox, when you see your cats poop get that poop and let him/her see you where you placed it and put it inside the sandbox. Let him/her see and smell where you placed it. After 2-3 times your cat will know where he or she needs to go. another technique to make your cat's poop not to be that smelly, let her eat cat food. I mean not sardines or any of that sort. To be honest my cat doesn't like to eat fish hehe.. they love chicken ^_^

Henna. That's a cool name for a cat. When it is real cold poor kitty may meow to come in. Dogs should be outdoors and can indure the cold. They can come in at some point during the night when it is colder. I had a Northwich Pine in my dining room and my German Sheppard whent through wagging his tail and cut my pine down, cut it right in half. I was so sad. It was growing so nicely and I was going to transplant it. There are deodorizers you can use. And just have to keep up on the cats poo. There are some deodorized stuff you can use but it more expensive and may not be good for the cat. Cat eaters, Ugh! What about the dog eaters?

Because they are hungry and they don't think of these animals as pets.

Well, the first thing to keep in mind is that there could be something medically wrong with your cat if you are getting a strong ordor in the poop. You may want to take a sample to your Vet so s/he can determine if your cat is feeling well. I know our cat's poop smells atrocious when she has a Urinary Tract Infection.
The second thing is that a cats box needs to be scooped daily. It is not healthy to leave it littered with poop, and yes it can be a tedious job. If you don't want to have to scoop it daily there are some nice machines on the market that will do this for you. You can check out littermaid, they are just one of many on the market. http://www.littermaid.com/
The third thing is that cats are what they eat, the same as humans. You may want to try changing their brand of cat food. Science Diet and IAMS are both Vet recommended as they are made so that the cat will digest most of the food and their poop will be less.
The fourth thing is back to cleaning the litter tray. A cats litter tray/pan should be cleaned out fully every week. You'll want to take out the liners, and wash the bin down with cleaning agents to kill any germs. It is no different than cleaning your own toilet bowl.
I wish you the best with your cats.
