I was opening my PC to check emails. But upon reaching desktop. I saw an error like this. I don't know what to do.
Iexplore.exe - application error
The instruction at "0x42fb1fa0 referenced memory at "0x020c57dc". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Is there someone who could help me?
Your reply/answer is a big help for me. Thank you!

hi syoti oh that blasted internet explorer when I got what you have now I got my computer nerd son to bypass ie and put fire fox in as my browser as its ten times better than IE and does not get all fowled up like Ie does. You will love Firefox Mozilla as its much faster and much more reliable too. I have kept my old IE but I never use it as firefox is so much better and even gives you a spelling checker so you can really make your discussions look a lot better and all your posts.

Restart the computer and diagnose the problem. It's a hardware problem.

which version of windows are you using. I would recommend you to check if the problem can be solved by a system restore. Check for a date where you were not getting those explorer errors and then get to the restore point. it might help the cause.

Sounds like some kinda computer virus I'm not an expert but I've had my desktop for almost 4 years and I've managed to keep it from crashing by using my registry edit feature and also using free virus protection software's, viruses are one of the things that annoy me about computers, because its a constant threat while surfing online and can make anyone's computer crash or just not work well, my desktop is still twitchy to spite my efforts to keep it running properly and unless your a computer whiz that can pinpoint, and find viruses there's not much that one can do.
My best suggestion is take your pc to someone that can check it for you I would do that if I could afford it, also find some good virus protection and do a full system scan, you can go to cnet.com. there are free version of virus protection software there get one if don't have one already. well hope that helps but if not maybe the other responders can offer you some better tips.

syoti I believe this is mainly due to malicious codes, viruses and trojan horses running on your system. The most successful way to resolve the problem would be to use some tweaking utilities like registry mechanic or spyware doctor. Also update your virus definitions of your Antivirus.
If still the problem is there try to upgrade the Internet Explorer or uninstall and reinstall the software. Also consider using another browser like opera or firefox.
If all of the above is of no use you should reinstall windows. But I guess this should be tried the last as the problem is not that severe :D
