Cell phones need mirrors

My cell phone is always with me. It is always in my pocket. If I do not have any pockets then I will stick it in my bra lol. Hey a girl has to have her cell phone with her at all times right! I dont need to wear watches because my cell has the time and that is always with me. The one thing that I wish my cell phone had was a mirror. I cant tell you how many times I am out and get something in my eye and need to find a mirror fast. It is such a pain. If my phone had a mirror I would be so happy! As often as I drop it though the mirror would have to be pretty sturdy. Then again my cell phone holds up when I drop it all the time. I wonder if any cell phones on the market today come with mirrors. I am not up on the latest technology so I really dont know. I just have a LG tracfone. Its simple and I love it.

I've always wanted a cellphone with a mirror too. It would be so convenient. I don't know of any phones with this, but if they made one, i would want it. :) Happy mylotting.

@rebelann yes and I have done that but it’s hard to see if there is something in my eye like a mirror. Glad you commented on this I hate seeing I missed replying to people.

Well, if yours has a camera you could take a selfie if you need to see something.

I agree, my phone is always with me, they need to invent phones with mirrors lol! :) I have an iPhone and sometimes I can see myself but it's not clear.

Take a selfie and then enlarge that image to see what you need to see

@infatuatedbby I just bought a new phone tonight and case. I debate on getting a case that had a panel on the back that slides open to put a debit card in but I wound up just getting a simpler sturdier one.

that would be great! there are cellphones though that have a camera in the inside or you can turn your camera and that way like you were going to take a picture, you can see your self it's the best camera on cellphones, you can also strike a pose before taking a pic of your self, preatty cool

Well my cell phone doesnt have a camera on it so I cant even do that lol. I imagine having a camera on my cell phone would be awesome then when I forget my camera and want to take a picture I wouldnt miss out on that opportunity. I see some peoples pictures taken from camera phones and they turn out awesome. Some dont though. I suppose it just depends on the brand and model.

Hello old discussion! I see someone has already revived this one for you, so I'll comment as well. I use my phone's camera, but it surely wouldn't work to find something in my eye. Perhaps getting a wallet case and adhering a small mirror to the inside would be a good idea?

@shaggin I have seen the slider back type cases and have considered them. I agree that the regular wallet cases are so bulky.

@Butterfingers I wrote this post 8 years ago and at the time I had a little tracfone that was a flip phone. It only had one camera which I couldn’t take selfies very well to see if something was in my eye.

@Butterfingers nope. That little flip phone fit better then my smartphone. I always have it in my back pocket so I'd guess it puts me at risk of rectal cancer.

You know I thought of this one day as well. We should be able to hit a mirror button and pop...on the screen is a mirror. I don't know how this could come about, but I'm sure there is a super-smart person somewhere in the world to make this happen.

Great minds think alike :) I really dont think it would be that hard for a mirror to be put on a cell phone. It could even be something that you pushed a button and a little mirror pops out. I mean it wouldnt have to be very big. They could just have a button like you say that causes the screen to turn into a reflective mirror when you need it.

That would be a good idea! Perhaps you should just carry a compact with a mirror in it though. Sometimes when I forget my pressed powder at home (with the mirror on it, the primary reason I even have the dumb thing), I might use a mirror in my car, at work, or even take a picture with my phone to see how I'm lookin'. lol!

Well I can only carry just so much in my pockets lol. If I have a cell phone in the one pocket and a hanky in my other pocket I dont have much room for much else without having ridiculous buldges in the front of my pants lmao. My mother would use the empty pressed powder compacts to carry in her purse for the mirror. I use pressed powder on my face but when I am done I throw it out. She doesnt wear pressed powder though.

What a novel concept. I have never ever thought of that, but I guess it would come in handy especially when we need to primp ourselves while we are out. Of course at my age, I really don't primp as much as I did when I was younger, but I still like the idea anyway. Take care, and have a very good day.

Well hehe I understand that. No matter how old you are though it would be nice to have a mirror with you at all times because you never know when you will get something stuck in your teeth and walk around embarrassed with that there. Now if we had a mirror with us we could quick check our teeth. To me its more important to have a mirror around because I am always getting things in my eyes.

I think it woud be a great idea for a cell phone to have a mirror. Cell phones have so many other features. Why has nobody thought to add a mirror to a cell phone. Are they afraid we will spend too much time looking at ourselves and not using our phones? i don't think that would happen.

That's a very good point you make there! I've owned a digital camera that had a tiny mirror on the back, enbabling me to take pics of my face if I so wished..which I didn't lol. I can't see any reason why slightly bigger mirrors couldn't be incorporated into the designs of mobile phones, preferably on the backs of them, like on my old digital camera. I reckon you should contact the likes of Apple about this..it could be a major money-spinner for you as it's YOUR idea!

That would be awesome to earn money from my idea but I am sure that even though I might have been the first one to write about it on mylot that I am not the first person to come up with the idea. I'm sure others have already talked to their cell phone companies and gave them the idea but you never know :)

Another poster wrote about the use of the camera feature. Unfortunately my camera is very basic so it doesnt have a mobile cover or a camera on it. Someday I hope that more advanced phones be considered basic so then although I wont be cause up with technology yet I will still be able to have a phone with a camera and other cool features.

Hmm...actually I know what you mean, but you can use the camera feature of your phone to replace it with the mirror. Sometimes people drop their cellphones and if there was a mirror, dropping it will break it and they'll get unlucky, lol, I don't know if you believe in it but I do.

HAHA no I am not superstitious at all. I do not worry about bad luck from breaking a mirror. My phone is very basic it doesnt even have a camera. I would enjoy it if it did but since it doesnt there isnt anything I can do. The phone only cost me $15 and then I just have to pay for the minutes so its not that big of a deal.

Hi Shaggin Are you sure you need the mirror on the cell phone just for this - ...and get something in my eye and need to find a mirror fast...or there is anything elseLadies would be ladies For the reason you mention you can use sun-glasses to protect your eyes

Hmm well sometimes I just want to make sure I look ok and having a mirror with me would be a huge benefit. I dont want to carry a mirror in my pocket so having one on my cell phone would be awesome. I dont wear sunglasses. Although they do protect your eyes I look terrible in them so I never wear them.

Yes that is me in the avatar but I actually have curly hair. I dont straighten my hair very often. Your comment is so sweet. I really dont look good in glasses many people would agree with me lol. I will have to fine a pair of sunglasses sometime and take a picture of myself in them and show you then you can judge for yourself lol. I also have a comb with a mirror on inside of the handle. I got it at the dollar store. I keep it in my purse for when I need to brush my daughters hair when we are out and it gets messy. But I dont always have my purse with me like I do my cell phone.

My wife got herself a comb that had a mirror attached at the back some months back and that is why I thought of this. I now understand your need is somewhat genuine. But if that is you in the Avtar, (which I do believe), I think you would look good in sunglasses or the Zero Power ones (just a selection of the right frame should do good)

LOL I also always have my phone with me because I don't want to miss anyone's message or call haha! But I never thought of having a mirror on my mobile phone though, but now that you raised this hope, I remember how my younger sister is wishing to have mirror on her phone because she got braces Have a nice day to you.

Ahh that is a good reason to need to have a mirror on your phone. When you have braces things get stuck in them and it can be pretty embarrassing. Like you I always have my cell phone with me. Mine is a prepaid tracfone so I have to pay per minute and per text I send or receive. It sucks. Most the time when I want to text people they have verizon and I can text their phone via my email and it doesnt cost me anything.

Well being a guy you might not be so into your looks that you would need a mirror but you never know when something will blow into your eye and you will need a mirror to get it out. Or perhaps you are out and having something caught in your teeth which can be humiliating. Then having a cell phone in your pocket with a mirror on it would really come in handy.
