The emergence of super bacteria results from the abuse of antibiotics.we must blame it on doctors. The common cold is a self-limiting desease however a large number of antibiotics can usually be used on it by doctors.

Excuse me, common cold is caused by a virus and not a bacteria so antibiotics are practically useless against them, you are however right because they may be using it to fight secondary infection caused by bacteria.

Thank you for response. You have a good command of medical:common cold is caused by a virus instead of a bacteria, just the point. I learn from you.

The "super bacteria" came about because of man's ignorance and irresponsibility when using or administering antbiotics. When people are sick they self medicate and take antibiotics, once the symptoms are gone they stop taking the medicine, thinking they are fine, not knowing that weakened bacteria still present will mutate to form a stronger strain. This is also the case when a doctor prescribes a certain number of antibiotic capsules to be taken in a definite number of days, patient takes a few and discontinues thinking that he is already well or wants to save on expenses.Although it is an accepted practice for doctors to prescribe anibiotics, the proper way is to get a swab or sample of the affected part, culture the bacteria, do antibiotic sensitivity testing, then and only then should anti biotics be prescribed or administered to prevent a mutant or resistant strain.

First there was mrsa then there was other super bugs, when is it all going to stop.I think that there are alot of people that can carry lots of bugs and pass them to other people yet they are never ill themselves.I think that with people that have been given antibiotics in the past, i think that they are the people that have built up a barrier and they are the ones that are imune to the use of some antibiotics as they have been give lots of antibiotics in the past constantly for other things. Also i think that some bugs attack the people that are weak with other health problems rather than people that do not have anything the matter with them.
