Snow and people driving in snow.

Every year, it never fails. There are a bunch of people on the road that still have not mastered the simple fact that driving in bright sunny weather and driving in the snow are two different things. That they have to slow down and take their time. Its a high risk gamble to drive out in this weather as it is, never mind with the people making the problem worse.

That really is a big problem around here where I live. You see, I live in one of those states that could either be considered to be a southern state or it could be considered to be a northern state depending on who you are talking to. Well, I learned to drive in the snow because of the fact that both of my parents were from a northern state. Well, on days like today, I can look out my back window and watch the idiots driving down the road like there isn't a bridge right there.

Yep, a lot of problems. It is really hard to tear your eyes away from some of those people. You know it is just going to end in disaster but at the same time, I'm oddly compelled to watch. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I know all too well what you are talking about. Here where I live, the snow plows are less than stellar. They don't do a great job, so people are forced to slow down. They may have something there...not? But, you get one idiot in the group who isn't watching and he ends up half a block away from his destination up against a snow drift. The news said he claimed that he was going the speed limit (35mph). Well, that was his first mistake. There was 7 inches of snow on the ground, you can't do 35 mph in that much snow. Oh and need I really mention that it started a chain reaction, 4 cars, an suv and a semi? Oh when will people smarten up?

Yep, that is just sad. The speed limit is the quickest you can drive when the road is completely clear and under the best conditions. The best conditions is not drifts and snow and ice. Some people really need a reality check. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Oh megamatt I live in the south east. We rarely have snow but when we do people do not know how to drive on it. I agree that they should slow down if they have to get out. Really I think they should all stay in with some hot cocoa and just watch the snow.

I can just imagine how much worse it would be for people who have never encountered it. Still, every year, its almost like pretty much the entire town gets their mind wiped of all common sense. No tragedies yet but it was really bad out yesterday. Looking to clear up a bit during the week. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

A lot of craziness this time of the year to say the very least. I don't know, maybe its just something about the snow and the cold. In fact, it is most likely something about the snow and the cold. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
