I dream every night. I think i only recall going to bed once and not dreaming. It seems that as soon as my head hits the pillow I fly away to dreamland. When I tell people this they think I'm weird. Am I really weird or do others have the same experience...

What's wrong with weird? I'm weird! AHAHH.
But, it's said that if you dream, you're not resting fully. Maybe you have some tension and you need a good warm bath before you sleep. When I am tense, I usually have a lot of vivid/detailed dreams.

maybe that's the case. that would probably explain why i am sometimes tired during the day. thanks for your suggestion.

Many of us dream and others of us don't. Sometimes we dream and we can't recall them so we think we didn't dream at all. I don't think you are weird however. We are all different and experience different things because our bodies are all genetically different in some way or form.

Everyone who has a full sleep cycle dreams, it's just a question of whether or not you remember those dreams. I usually remember my dreams every night as well. I usually don't fall asleep and immediately start dreaming at the start of the night, that usually happens later on for me.
So, what's wrong with weird? What's right with normal?

I need maybe about one and a half hours to get into dreamland. There are in fact 5 stages of sleep. Stages 1,2,3,4 and REM sleep. I only know a few of them briefly. As far as I know, stage 1 is light sleep, you'll get woken up easily. Stage 2 is when you spend 50% of your time in it. REM is known as rapid eye movement and in this phase, you'll start to dream. Well, if you ask me, I love dreams. Dreams take me away from the realistic world but then, my dreams are weird most of the time. I can't even make out what message it's trying to convey

I don't think you are weird at all. I dream I believe most nights but don't always remember the dream completely. However, many times what happens to me is that during the day something will happen to trigger a dream that I had the previous night. Then I will remember the entire dream or bits and pieces. I think you are lucky to dream everynight and remember your dreams.

you think I'm lucky and not wierd, cool :). It can be frustrating sometimes though. Like I'd fall asleep nd would be there dreaming like crazy, then when I wake up I find that I've only slep for 5 mins.

i do that sometimes but more often it takes me like a half hour to get to sleep when i go to bed but when im really tired i just fall a sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow but that is not that often but my mom is like that she falls a sleep every where always when we are at the movies or just watching a movie at home and then she wakes up at 7:00 i think she sleeps about 17 hours a day or something that is pretty dam much
