Are you an unlikable person?

The experiences I've had in life have taught me that I'm a rather unlikable person. I'm not exactly irritating but it's difficult for people to like me or respect me as an equal. I'm a fairly polite person who tries to treat everyone fairly. I don't expect every single person to like me, but the truth is that an overwhelming large number of people seem to be repulsed by my existence. The harsh insults I've had to swallow and clear displays of exclusion are all the evidence I need. I've even had people tell my sister that they don't like me.
It's unbearably painful. I try as hard as I can to be who I am without affecting too many people. How should deal with it and come out a stronger person?

you can be liked by some, and hated by others. that's just how the world is right now..
since we all have different characters, we can't really get along with just everybody
you're not an exeption, we all experience it. i'm having a hard time gaining respect too and everything, but we all just need time to find the proper people to talk with
don't become someone you're not just to be liked, that's the worst thing you could ever do!
be who you are. true friends are those who understand YOU not someone they think they know.

Why should you care? Unless they're your family, they are nothing to you, I know many people don't like me...their are even parents who itches to take out of position as a teacher because they don't like me, but I don't care, I teach their children not them...
But you should also evaluate yourself, are you doing something that hurts other people? Like stepping on their rights?
Only you can solve this problem for you did not disclose why they hate you so... 1 person likes this

i don't know. hehehe.. but so far everybody's nice with me. some people would just look at me in the office and there's this big question mark over their heads and i make fun out of it most of the time. well i don't care really if i'm liked or not as long as i'm good with everybody, i didnt hurt anybody's feelings or phisically -- i'm super fine..
id people talk about you in a bad way.. it's ok. it means they're affected but if you don't think about them, it means you're not affected by them. so held your head up high while they're staring at you. 
if they're not feeding you. it's cool. smile and stay with people who makes you grow the way you are..

What makes people not like you?
I have a few people who do not like me, but it is out of my control and I believe what I do is right, so, even if my ego may hurt a little, it doesn't bother me so much, as long as I keep doing what I believe is right.

i also feel that way i dont know how people see me but it seems that they dont like me that much no matter how i try to be polite to them and most times i find their comments harsh and insulting. or maybe im just paranoid or expect too much from them. there might be something wrong with me. maybe i need to smile and talk alittle more.

You are someone strong to deal with all this. But be sure, you aren't the only one who pass through this, I'm someone like you, but be sure that someone love you, just look well and you will find out.
