Sorry for your loss , .. just hang in there. Life has to go on , even though it might seem harder a little bit to start off with. The fact that you are willing to talk about it seems like you're willing to get past it .. the bad memories , that is. They will always be a large part of your memory , so move on happily. Take care new friend.

Hi, chad I can understand you as I have also lost most of my relatives.
It has helped me a lot when I have remembered the hope we can read about in the Bible, that we can meet our loved ones again when it is time for resurrection.
I found some articles about this hope and how we can deal with our feelings after losing our loved ones. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20080701/article_01.htm
It is important to talk to others about the ones we have lost, and mention their name when we talk about things they used to do when they were with us. This method helped one of my friends who lost her husband after being married for over 50 years.
I hope this can help you go further with your life.

You should never let yourself think that you are of no value in this world. Everyone is special and important. The holidays can have ways of bringing about the blues. Doing something good for someone else can help lift you of this feeling.

I am truly sorry for your losses. Life is difficult for so many and some of us handle it a bit differently then others. Taking it one day at a time is the best we can do.
Try really hard to keep busy as depression sinks in harder when we have the extra quiet time and time for further thinking. I commend you for saying one day at a time.
The holidays will be a bit heavier and sad for you, so may I suggest that you try really hard in getting out with other loved ones so that you can share your feelings and continue to keep busy. Sharing your feelings about your mother and uncle is healthy as this way you do not bottle them up.
Happy holidays and remembering your past loved ones means you keep their memory alive in your heart.

chad,
I just want to share to you this verse from the most valuable and best seeling book in the history of mankind-the Bible. Here it is as spoken be God to the depressed person, found in the Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Everything is in God's hand, we are all secure in His loving arms. This world only gives us a series of problems,by the time you solve one, the other problem is waiting. All we need to do is to enjoy life in God's presence.
How would you say about that?
