I just went to Baguio city with my girlfriend last Saturday to watch the Baguio Snow show but it seems like it was a now show, we waited there for about 2 hours and still no snow. Same thing happened last snow show when about 44,000 tourist and locals gathered in session road to watch the 1st snow show but it became a bubble show when the machine supposed to make snow blow bubbles instead. And it is really a big disappointment, heard from a local of Baguio city said "Kababain apan da lang Ibabain taga Baguio" He said it was really a disgrace to the city government and their community.

Yeah we still have lots of fun in Baguio. Baguio is more than just a snow show, he he he. There are lots of stuff to do in Baguio and lots of places to visit and lots of foods to eat, Its a bit cold tough. I only wish we didn't waste our 2 hours just standing there waiting for the snow show.

i am sure standing there for 2 hours waiting for the snow is not being wasted,
just holding your gf's hand that time and whispering love thoughts covered the 2 hours of waiting (i just hope next time the snow show will be a success...i wish i will be there next time and witness such event whew!)

Aw bummer. It's good you still enjoyed the city, in spite of the no snow show. The sad thing is that the government spent so much for that machine and it's not working. I would have loved to go (I'm from a neighboring municipality, but work at the Metro), but I can't. Hope they get it right the next time. (Personally, I LOOOOOVVVVE bubbles, so if I were there, I wouldn't have minded.)

The machine is probably working, but not on such conditions :D They should have planned better and consulted with some people before purchasing it and using it. The value of the machine would have depreciated already, and if they are unable to use it for its purpose, they can only sell it for less. Wasted resources.

i did not see it either, but i show a photo on facebook showing the face snow show.. i am one of the participants in the parade, we danced in melvin jones,, i did not know tha there was a snow show, until i got home.. according to some spectators the snow was only visible if you near porta vaga, in session road. and fyi, that event last saturday was about the centennial event of the school slu, not the snow show.. the government only provided it to accompany the parade.

I heard it was about 15 degrees in Baguio when they did the snow show. Personally, I do not think that with this temperature, they could generate the snow and make it stick. That temperature is still too high for snow. Even 10 degrees is still to high to make snow. I don't know. I am in Cardiff, Wales at the moment and it tends to be rainy here. Snowed only once, and the temperature is zero to negative. But 1 to 5 degrees C, precipitation still drops in liquid form. No snow. Maybe that is why the event is so unsuccessful. :(
