I can tell you from personal experience that it will not immediately harm your battery but it will slowly kill it. Mine for instance I have always kept charging as I usually use my laptop plugged in, this I have done for the last 2 years. Most manufacturers say that battery warranties last up to three years. So currently although my batter is two years old I cannot get my laptop to power up on batter alone. When I check the battery meter it is always at 28% and will not go any further. So eventually this will affect your battery. It is best that when not using it you do not continue to charge it. Some laptops have the power off mode so it is best to check your settings and make sure that you set it at battery off if while plugged in. If you are not sure if it is already set this way, it would be best to check your manual for instructions. Once the battery is fully charged it will stop accepting electricity. Normally there's a icon that will show you that the battery is already full. There should be a safeguard that is put into the laptop to make that it don't overcharge. So far, I have not heard of any reports of any laptop that blows up because the owner failed to pull out the adapter. I just don't know though if this practice will ruin the battery in the long run. I too forgets to take out the adapter in my laptop sometimes and I am not yet experiencing any problems with the battery so far.

It is safe to use the laptop...However, the battery will loss its power gradually...My advice will be unplug your battery BEFORE you use them...Use only pure AC power and if you need to move around then use your battery...It will increase your battery lifetime as it is not used frequently...Hope that helps...

I think theres something in the manual of your laptop. I also heard that if you over charge your laptop, the battery might get burned or something just like our cellphones. You must handle you laptop with care. I use mine for about 4 hours then charge it again then use it again. If there something wrong with your laptop, you better consult the service center of it for more help.

Its best not to do that although it shouldn't hurt it the biggest concern I would have is with heat not from over charging. As long as the fans ports were not smothered and air could circulate it should be fine. As for concerns with the battery I would cycle it if I were you, run it down to 20% or less and then fully recharge. With most of the lithium ion batteries they suggest doing this at least once a month if not more often. I personally run my battery down to 5 or 10 percent at least once a month and then let it fully recharge I get several hours out of my battery and I run some very labor intensive software on my computer as I do web and graphic design on my computer. I hope this helps, as long as your computer is running okay I wouldn't be all too concerned we all make mistakes from time to time.

It's safe but then you will risk overcharging it, which will cut short the battery's life span and sooner or later, you may have to change battery.

There won't be any problem with that because the moment the laptop is fully charged it won't accept any more current from the electricity to the batter. So it's like it will automatically shut itself off from the current. Just like a cellphone that stops receiving current when it is fully charged. You can use your laptop even for 24 hours if you like just don't place it on your lap to avoid getting burned from the heat coming from your heat sink. Don't worry, your laptop will be ok.
