i just want to keep simple three steps that every body can do. May not bring great changes but definitely will perform little better.
1. Empty recycle bin.
2. Do disk defragmentation. This helps fragmented programs to be defragmented there by improving performance. To do this simply type disk defragmenter in search box that appear when we go to start button and the run it.
3. Do disk clean up. This will help to free disk spaces occupied by unwanted programs and files. To do this do the same as in the case of disk defragmentation.

I do disk cleanup before I defrag. This is all part of general maintenance. If you are already doing general maintenance and it's still slow, check out some of the programs you may have installed and get rid of any that you don't really use or need. If it's still slow after all else you can do, then reformat...but only as a last resort. Reformatting is a pain in the patuckus!

Have you tried deleting all unused programs, deleting cookies & defragging the computer? Defragging should happen on a regular basis like once every 1-2 months. You could also try scanning your computer for viruses as some viruses do slow your computer down. I hope this helps at all.

Well, I am not ruling it out that is a bad idea. But if you can find any alternative idea, why not try something easier. Try to use this software to clean all the junk out, and it might be the reason why your computer running too slow right now.

I am not sure on you should do because there are many causes why you PC is slow. Maybe the processor is old? Try intel processors they are so fast and cool. Or check the memory storage maybe it is full. Or maybe you should defragment your PC.

Well, the only advice I can give you is advice that was given to me.
I was told to download something called CCleaner and I did and it went along way in helping mine.
And I was also told to download Advanced System Care Free..and that worked as well..
and also on your own computer do the disk cleanup which is found in programsAccessoriessystem tools..
A computer tech told me these are the best "free" sites that are available to use. And Avast is also a great free anti-virus protection which Avast! and AVG are said to be the top 2 free Anti-virus protection software online.

Go to this website and download the FREE version of this software, then install it, and run it on your computer. You should run this program at least every couple of days. I have been using it for a couple of years now, and I have never had a problem. I have a friend who owns a computer repair shop, and this is the program that he recommends to all his customers as well...

It probably is time to change you computer already. Just kidding!
You can check your hard disk space whether it is still a lot of space since windows need a lot of space to run. You may probably need at least 1GB for your computer to run smoothly.
I guess you must have install quite a number of software in your computer and some of it will load or start whenever you on your computer, try to disable it by using this windows program call "msconfig". What you need to do is type it at the windows search and after you run it, select the "Startup" tap, there you can choose to disable any program that you do not want it to start or load when you turn on your computer. You can take a look at the picture attached.

You need to get rid of unnecessary information off your hard drive, I think your hard drive is full. If this is not the problem, see your local computer centre. Sometimes, you need to have an external drive to store to data and free your computer hard drive to have lot of space to function well.

In my past experience, my computer will slow down because of so other programs which I never realised were running at the same times.
It could be viruses, automatic files upgrading, spywares, faulty of graphic card and so on.
First of all, I shall do the online scannning to remove the unnecessary files or the possible viruses.
If you are using the Internet Explorer, you can try this Free scanning, removing and fixing program as the link below
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
If you are still encountering the same problem, you can format and reload the hard disk.
At last, I suggest you to send your computer to a technician if the same problem persists.

You can increase the ram and other specifications for increasing the speed of the computer. If your computer has low specification, then you can use wimows xp instead of vista or windows 7 ect. You have not given any details about your computer.
Also the antivirus used can also slow down your system. I also recommend you to use 'tune up utilities' software. It can do cleaning in your system and make it bit fast. Formatting the system will certainly increase its speed.
