My Wordpad has disappeared from file menu

My Wordpad file has somehow disappeared from my file menu I didn't delete it because I've never use wordpad but I know it was there when I bought the laptop. I'm using window xp and I just notice this today. Can anyone tell me what could have happen to wordpad?
