pregnant without sperm?

If there is a pregnant woman without male sperm. First of course is breaking news. But not in the future.
A team from Australia to find new methods of fertilization of egg cells by using genetic material from any cell in the body, rather than using the sperm. And reportedly was very useful technique for infertile couples who are eager baby's presence in their midst.
Is Dr. Orly Lacham-Kaplan, who came from Monash University in Melbourne who was behind the development of this brand-new technique. He explained that it had successfully fertilize mouse egg cells by using other body cells are called somatic cells.

It would be a good thing if it really happens that way. It would be able to help many childless couple to have children of their own no matter what. However what's more worrying is the cost of such methods because those current methods using now, are not cheap either. Another worry is, how will that baby look like when they grow up? Will they be different from babies created from sperms?

It sounds like an interesting theory but I cannot find anything since that time and I wonder what research is occurring. I have to wonder if people have confused this with stem cell research which was put to a halt here in the US.
