Kosher vs. Halal

Here's a question I'm wondering about, since the food laws of both religions are fairly similar.
Can a Muslim eat Kosher food, and can a Jew eat halal?
I'm assuming here that the Muslim has no access to halal food, and the Jew can't get Kosher food.
Also, is there ever a time where It's possible to eat non-kosher or haram foods, or would this literally be a last resort option (as in, you're on the brink of death, and the only food available to help you survive is non-kosher or non-halal - do you eat it)?

i guess they wont, cuz when the animal is killed it is going to be blessed, and i guess the jews are not very happy about that, or visa versa, i dont know very much about these things (im a christian myself)
but remember the muslim religion came MUCH later then the jewish+christian and it has a lot of the same it kinda stole (no offence) parts from the bible, and the old books of the bible are exact the same as those of the jewish, the muslims got that too onlly they changed it
