how to use postpone and delay?

Pls advise the difference between the words of postpone and delay!!
I am a little confused about how to use them,

You use the word postpone in a formal manner such as a business meeting or a test. You also use the word when you already have a definite time and date. One example would be " The business meeting would be postponed and moved to....so and so"
The word delay is usually used more on unexpected circumstances such as " their has been a delay in our flight" It is also used on short term circumstances like "time delay mechanism" that's why we do not use " time postponement mechanism" Hope I answered the question correctly

I do not know if there is such a word as emontion or affective
feeling is more physical Ex. I am not feeling well,it could also be emotional like I have feelings for you.
sentimental is more related to the brain or mental state , in remembering what happened in the past Ex. Do not get sentimental with happened in the past .
Hope you learned a little, by the way that would cost 5o cents (just joking)
