First Market Place article rejected!!

December 15, 2010 2:17am CST
Things aren't looking good for yours truly on Helium. The first of my Market Place articles was rejected today because it 'did not adhere to Helium.com Standars and Policies' ! Not sure in what way, that's all it said. I was quite plased with the item and have put it on Bukisa instead!! Oh well, I'll keep trying!

Hello, Sue. It seems to be improving. Lots more people are getting articles accepted and transitioned in the second round of purchases, and they've been processed a day ahead of the deadline, so they're now on the site earning money. Try to stay positive - you're good enough for the new system, and now the early problems seem to be sorted, you should start earning again.

Hello, Mandy. Don't lose heart. My first 3 were rejected and deleted in a single day. I've been with Helium for more than 3 years, and I've only had 3 others deleted in all that time, so you can imagine how I felt. In my second round of 4 articles, 2 were accepted for upfront and 2 were transitioned for credit. In total, I've earned $12 from them, so I'm happy with that. Your rejected article was probably written before they reinstated 2nd person POV. A word of advice, though. If you are a member of Triond, post your rejected articles there, leave it a few days, then post it on Bukisa - and Helium as well, because it will probably be accepted on the open site, and Helium's page views are better than the others. Persever - your writing is good enough to survive this.

Glad to help. The great thing about Helium is the writer's support network. You just don't get that anywhere else. I joined all 3 sites at the same time, but Helium is the only place I get to interact with like-minded writers, so I'd be sorry to lose that connection.

Like Sandra said, don't give up - you are good enough to get over the changes in Helium. Persevere - it will be worth it!

Thank you, I have decided that even if I don't manage to get many MArket Place articles published I will carr on with my other writing. I actually found a catagory on Helium to put the rejected article under and it is number 1 !! I will carry on and hopefully the pennies will keep rolling in!! Thanks all of you for ypur helpand support.
