Lets admit, in this day and age with the internet around, alot of us are just going to be chucking away the stamps and envelopes, except me!
I like to write cards as it is more traditional and actually makes it look like you took the time instead of just sending off an e-card.
What is your opinion? Will you be sticking to the tradition or saving money sending e-cards?

This year has been so crazy, that I have had a hard time getting my cards out in a timely manner. I did send a paragraph that is going out in my mother's email about what is happening in our lives. my husband did the same thing. Both my in-laws and my parents are sending pictures of my daughter in most of the cards.

I think that with the internet around, sending actual cards by mail will not be more like tradition, but more like novelty. And because e-cards are deemed easy, anybody receiving an actual card by mail would really appreciate it because someone really did took the time to buy a card, write on it, and send it by mail.

I was always the only one in my family (five kids, and my mother's family had 6, and will include them as they NEVER sent cards), who sent cards for every occasion every year up until 5 years ago. After my cancer episode, I started emailing cards for occasions. At Christmas I still have a few older relatives that do not have internet, and I still sent cards to them each year, but I almost always still use the internet these days. Guess I got tired of the expense, not getting any response or any cards back.

I am over sending Christmas cards to be honest although my daughter still gives them out to her class mates and I usually put a card in with gifts but aside from that I like to send everyone in my phone book a text on the day wishing them all a Merry Christmas and that is it. I don't bother with E cards I only send those to people who live away and I am not going to see during the Festive Season.

Some people still receive cards from my family. The most important being my husband's grandmother. She does not like technology, and although she does have a computer at home, she is not comfortable with it. We do video chat on the occassions that my husband's aunt is around to set up the connection with us. This is the way we see her most because she lives 2000 miles away.

Ya, I had already sent about 5 greeting cards to my friends and relatives for this Christmas. And there are still about a list of 10 members. I need to send them a new year wish greetings. Though we have internet and e-cards are revolving around us, there is some special in sending the hard copy of that greeting cards.
Am I right princess??

interesting topic. In my country(China), most of us love to send e-cards to their friends. and so, few people would use the traditional stamps and envelopes to express their wish. But some friends of mine and me just send a phone message saying "Merry Christmas". That's simple.
