The best thing you did to shut someone up

Know any good idea to do so? Can't seems to find any real effective ways without offending the person. Sometimes a friend, close one or even a stranger tends to talk a little too much , don't you think so?

The best way to shut someone up is to shut up yourself, if he see's your not responding to anything he says he'll stop cause talkers need attention

I tried using this way, but it doesn't seems to work on some people... they just can't stop talking...blah blah blah... if you don't tell them to stop, they can go on foreverrrrr.... XP

Then do the ultimate thing, turn your back on them or better leave, think that will do it
