what are the difference between Windows CE and Windows XP,Vista or 7

when i canvas the laptop online.i saw in mini laptop that have an operating system WINDOWS CE. what are the difference between two of this? do you think all of the application can be install in windows CE? like Mozilla, Google chrome, visual basic, ms office 2007, photoshop cs3 or other application. because on the wondows xp, vista, and windows 7 can be install all of the software and application. what do you think? please the your ideas.

Please get any windows but the CE. You'll have a lot of problems, trust me. If you computer is powerful enough, go with windows 7, which is the most stable one in my opinion.
Not that i'm bragging or anything, windows is not that great. If I were you, I'd buy a mac or just build a hackintosh. I bought a mac over a year ago and I can tell you, ain't gonna buy windows ever again

Windows CE is usaly loaded on thin clients that are preloaded with Flash memory. CE is sometimes used as a stand alone system. thin clients dont have an opital drive or usb ports. its kind of basic and basicly you cant do much with them unless you have built in programs. I recomend in getting a netbook.
