Facebook is my main addiction and mylot is my 2nd. I love facebook because I can keep in touch with my friends/family and I also love it because I play games such as farmville and frontierville. I'm always on facebook even at work. But then when I have nothing to do on facebook I come to mylot and see what new discussions there are that I can reply too. I've only been on facebook for a year and its my entire life now ha! But everyone has their different addictions :)

Facebook has brought me a lot closer to my friends(I don't know if that is a bad thing or a good thing!). I don't have a clue what else I could say about facebook so I shall end it there.

Facebook has effected many people in many different ways, whether it be good or bad. I myself will always cherish Facebook, for what it has done for me and my family. Let me start at the beginning of this story, My parents were divorced when I was about a year to a year and a half old. My mom got custody of me and moved me to Minnesota. The majority of my dad's side of the family were in Florida.
Somewhere in the early 2000's I lost contact with my Dad's side of the family, people had moved, there were some child support issues with my dad, etc. So for several years I wasn't in contact with any of them and it wasnt for lack of trying on my part either.
I had tried searching through people search databases, myspace, hiring a private eye, etc to no avail, unbeknown to me my dad, grandmother, and grandfather had all moved out of florida to mississippi so i was always searching the wrong areas.
Earlier this spring my wife made herself a facebook account and kept pushing me to do the same, after much protest I finally did one night out of boredom. And then I proceeded to start searching for people, finding many old friends and school acquittance's. I then turned to searching for family members, first finding my Aunt Aimee my Dad's sister. Then through her profile I found my Dad, my grandma, and several other family members.
So yes I will say that Facebook has effected my life and will for many years to come. My Dad and I are now very close and have found that we have a ton in common. You know what they say, like father like son.

We use Facebook as a main source for news and information for us. I'm on it about 20 times a time. Why? Well because it's good for our students and fans. It's also good to be involved in social media so we can engage with as many people as possible. Facebook is a huge asset to us!

Facebook connects me to friends, conveys news, is source of community in my life. I update my status every day or two and worry if my friends don't do the same. Facebook is very key in my life at the moment!

Hey Nicregi! My facebook experience was a very short one. In total from beginning to end less than a year. I just recently deleted it. I never indulged in MY SPACE or any of those other sites, much less face book. We had some relatives up from Texas last winter and my aunt used to ask if she could check her facebook. I became curious and had my daughter help me start a profile. At first it was wonderful. I began talking to people I havent heard from in years. I got reconnected to elementary school friends and met some new interesting friends. I didnt get involved in the YO VIlle, FARMVILLE, OR any other of those clubs. I basically just liked the idea of being able to network from friends to business. Then it began... The fighting, drama, and $hit talking. I couldnt believe it! People telling secrets of others. Its unbelievable. People may deny it but They ALL do it. My aunt who has always been nosy and a big busy body started taking pictures off peoples profiles and it was terrible. I then found myself writing things that I wouldnt necessarily be involved in. Its very easy to get sucked in so I deleted my page. Im too old to fight with people who are only on the site to start trouble. Unfortunately there are a ton of them. If you havent experienced this, YOU WILL. Be careful. Facebook has broken friendships, relationships, romances, and jobs. I dont need anymore hurt, or let downs. Facebook isnt for me. Happy Holidays. dl

nicregi-
I have to admit that though I never thought I'd be using Facebook as much as I do now it truly has become a part of my daily routine. I talk with almost my entire family on Facebook, run my advice column, run my hubby's business through fan pages, and have a great time meeting new people.
It was through Facebook that I expanded my circle of friends in the Steampunk/Cyberpunk area, as well as Cos-play. It's great to be able to network with people in your area of interest.
I also have a great many friends who are also polyamorous on Facebook and they've helped us to network with others in our state who are also poly. It's just simply put a great place to network.
The downside is I have to keep going through the hoard of games I'm invited to play! I love gaming so I tend to take it way too seriously and at times take on one too many games. Right now I play about 10 and manage to keep up with them.

Facebook is one of the best to keep in touch to my friends and to my family. Even in many years that we don't see each other we can communicate after a years we don't talk. we can become closer to our friends and families. For me this is the one of the best way to communicate to the friends and friends and to know what is the update of their lives.

These times, I'm being distant from social network sites, I'm not used to talk too much online beyond forums posts. I have no facebook account and no intentions of creating one, I find it much useless and time wasting (much better waste my time on MyLot, at least it pays me ). So it affects nothing on my life. Maybe if I knew it a few years ago I would gave it a try.
To keep in touch with friends its much better to call them or text them, it's more personal and everyone likes it. I reserve online communitacions for online friends only, and offline pinging for real friends.

Facebook does not affect me at all. It's just another form of catching up with friends, knowing how they are getting on in life. I don't spend alot of time in facebook when i can be here or out working. What's more, my bf and i shared the same facebook account, and whatever we are doing, is of no secret. He knows my friends and i know his, we won't add anybody who we don't know at all.

Well i think facebook has already been a part of my daily routine like when i get home the first thing i do after switching on the computer is do facebook. I could not say if it is a good thing or bad but i think it depends on how you use it. As we all know, too much of anything is never good that is why i also moderate my usage of the site whenever i can.

No, I'm not affected by Facebook. I have an account, but it is passive. I seldom update my status there. I can see any benefit in doing that. It really wastes my time. I can hardly understand, why people do that. Almost nonsense I guess. Better I look for money here. By sharing, I earn money. Facebook, who will pay us? Nobody, lol!
